N. Patterson requesting permission to erect <br /> tvro real estate signs on E1 Camino Real, one near Brevaster Avenue and the <br /> • other ne�,r James Ave mse. A dra�ing �nas submitted on the bottom of the <br /> letter. There v�a.s some objection raised in regard to granting this request. <br /> Councilman Vderder, however, was of the opinion that if the signs would help <br /> develop the property he believed it vrould be beneficial to the city to <br /> ' grant the perrnit. Councilman Gra.nger was of the opinion that if the permit <br /> were granted a tirne' lin�it should 'oe set as to hov� long the signs could re- <br /> main in place. Councilman :ierder moced, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, <br /> � that a permii be granted for the erection of the ttivo signs as reque�ted <br /> subject to�the approval of the Building Inspector and that the perrnit be <br /> granted.for a period of one year, Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Cornmunication w�as received from City Manager Blom announcing the resignation of <br /> Police Judge Edrovard I. hcAuliffe and the appointment of �V. City Manager Blom read letter which he had <br /> written and it tivas decided that,one should be drafted along the same lines <br /> � on behalf of tne Counoil. <br /> Communication uas received from Irving Dunn requesting the rezoning of Lots 21 <br /> and 22, Block 3, Redv�ood Highlands from second residential district to <br /> commercial district. City Attorney I�eCarthy explained that this matter had <br /> been before the Pla.nning Commiesion 4YY10 had 'oeen reluctant to change the <br /> � zoning of this property but believed a variance might be granted if plans <br /> � were submitted of the proposed construction. P�r. Dunn appeared and ex- <br /> � plained tha.t time uras a factor in this matter. It was his plan to erect <br /> � <br /> "�D ret�.il stores on this property which is loc�ted at the corrier of Brewster <br /> � <br /> � Avem�e and Arch Street.
