Motion passed <br /> unanimously. ' <br /> Qouncilman Britschgi moved, eeconded by Councilman 7Perder, approval of Citq <br /> Manager Hlom�s recommendation for settlement with H. R. Reeder for purchase <br /> of Lot 1, Block l, corner of Valota and Vera, including improvements, for <br /> the sum of �2500. Motion passed unanip�ouely. <br /> Counoilman Armetrong offered introduction of ordinance prohibiting fortune tel- <br /> ling, seconded by Councilman McNulty. Motion passed uananimously, <br /> City �iana�er Blom advised that under the terms of an old eaeement with the � <br /> Canines in teh area east of 8econd Avenue', the city obtained a ten foot wide <br /> easement lying within the right of way of Spring 8treet for the construc- <br /> tion of a pump line to the well located near the boundary line of the <br /> 3outhern Pacific right of way in the vicinity of Eleventh Anenue. The pro- <br /> perty on which this well is located is mithin the subdivision known as ' <br /> Redwood Manor and is now owned by M. J. Ring Co. The city should ab�ndon <br /> the easement lying within thie property east of Fifth Avenue and retaln <br /> that portion from 8econd to FiYth Anenues. As a consideration for the <br /> abandonment of the easement, the M. J. ging Co. will remove the existing <br /> cast-iron pipe on the portion of the lots in their subdinision and relay 1 <br /> it in 3pring 8treet and also remone the pipe on the lot purchased Yrom <br /> the oity and relay it on Spring 3treet at their expenae. Councilman <br /> . Britschgi offered resolution and moved its adoption authorizing abandon- <br /> ment of easement to M. J. Ring Co, by a qult claim deed, eeconded by <br /> Councilman VGerder. On roll call, reaolution was unanimously adopted. • <br /> � <br />
