J, gING,_Inc, has agreed to remove the exieting oast iron water main frora that,portion of Lot 14 of 9weeny Ranch partioularly de- seribed in that certain deed of eaeement fiom the City of Redwood Citq to said M. J. BI&G,,2na „ dated June 17th, 1946 and attached hereto; and WHEREA3, the dedication of an extension of Spring Street southeasterly through a portion of eaid cast iron water main therein obviates the neces- ' sity or propriety of retaining said easement; RESOLVED, THAT the Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby authorize the execution of a Deed of Easement and release of a portion of an easement deecribed in a deed from California Pacific Title & Trust Company, a oorporation, to the City of Redwood City, dated Janua.ry 20, 1931 and recorded in the Office of the County Reaorder of the County of 8an Mateo in book 513 of Offioial Recorde at page 95 which is part'icularly deecribed in the said deed of easement attached hereto; FURTHER-RE30LVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk of this City be e,nd � they are herebq authorized to execute such conveyance for and on behalf of thia City. H LTON � • Mayor of the City of Redwood City Qity Engineer V�ilson presented a sketch ehowing proposed assesement district for publio parking lot. It was his sug�estion that assessment be made on the asseased value of land only. After some discussion, City Attorney McC�arthy was instructed to prepare an ordinance aetting up the asseasment dietrict. ' Mr. Wm, Penaat appeared in regard to the adoption of the final map of the MeCullagh park, which is an extension oY Ruby 3treet from Vera Avenue eouth � to Rooaevelt Avenue. The map was studied by:the Council. The matter of �' I supplying water to this s�bdivieion was aleo discuased and it was decided � that the citq would provide the water without cost to the subdinider. It 1 was also recommended that a bond in the amount of �10,000, or a like � amount placed in escrow, be required to assure street improvemente.
