<br /> b. Ruby Street between"Jefferson and Vera Avenues;
<br /> c. Sapphire Street between James and Vera Avenues;
<br /> d. Topaz Street between Jefferson and Vera Avenues;
<br /> e�. Madison Avenue Between Quartz Street and the southwesterly City
<br /> line;
<br /> ' f. Vera Avenue between Valota Road and the southweaterly City line;
<br /> g, Raft Street between,Vera and Roosevelt Avenues;
<br /> h�. All interaections of eaid atreets and avenues excepting the inter-
<br /> . section of Qua.rtz Street and Madison Avenue and the iritersections
<br /> of cross streets with Jefferson Anenue;
<br /> (j).. A etorm drain structure in Sapphire Street acrosa the creek
<br /> traversing eaid street between Jefferson and James�Avenues;
<br /> (k). A storm drain structure in Taft 8treet across the creek tranersing
<br /> said street between,Vera and Roosevelt Avenues;
<br /> ' (m) The acquisition of property for the opening of Vera Avenue be-
<br /> tween Ruby Street and a point triereon anproximately 114 feet
<br /> southwesterly from the southwesterly line of Junipero Street;
<br /> Tnat tne improvements and vrork to be done in said streets and avenues is
<br /> particularly deacribed as follows: Tne grading of all streets nereinabove
<br /> mentioned a.nd tne construction of a 6 incn waterbound macadam base and 1-1/2
<br /> inen aspnaltic iop pavement, combined concrete cement curbs and guttera on
<br /> ea.ch side of each street, and 4 inch concrete cement sidevralks 5 feet wide
<br /> along each side of each street; and
<br /> �r7HEREAS, in and by said Resolution of Intention No. 1946-2, said Council
<br /> � fixed Thursday, the 18th day of July, 1946, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P,M.
<br /> . of eaid day, at the meeting place of said Council in the City Hall on
<br /> Middlefield Road in said City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of
<br /> California, as the day, hour and place auhen and where any and all peraons
<br /> having any objectiona to the proposed work and improvemente described in said
<br /> Resolution of Intention No. 1946-2, or to the grades at which said work and
<br /> improvements are to be done and made, or to the district to be assessed for
<br /> said work and improvements, could appear before said Council and show cauae
<br /> why said v+ork and improvements�should not be carried out and done in accord-
<br /> ance with said Resolution of Intention No. 1946-2 or.vuHy said work and im-
<br /> provements ahould not be carried out and done at the�propo'sed grades as
<br /> .shown on the plans, profiles, detailed drasvings and specifications referred
<br /> to in said Resolution of Intention No. 1946-2 and now on file in the office
<br /> ' of the Clerk of eaid City; and
<br /> 'NHEREAS, at the day, hour and place above mentioned, when and where
<br /> objections could be made as aforesaid, certain ownera of property in the
<br /> district to be asseesed for said work and improvements made tiaritten objec-
<br /> tions to said vuork and i.mprovements or to the extent of the diatrict to be
<br /> assessed therefor; and
<br /> WHEREAB, said Council did proceed to hear and consider said protests
<br /> and objections, and said Council hae fully considered the same;
<br /> THEREFORE BE IT RE80LVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City
<br /> and said Council does hereby determine and declare that said protests and
<br /> objectiona were not and are.not made by the ovnners of one-half of�the area
<br /> ' of the property in the dietrict to be,asaeesed for said work and improvemente.
<br /> � BE IT FURTHER RE30LVED, by said Council that said written protests and
<br /> ob�ections, and each and all thereof, be and the eame are hereby overruled.
<br /> The above and foregoing resolution wae passed and adopted by the Coun-
<br /> cil of the City of Redwood City at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held
<br /> on the 18th day of July, 1946, by the following vote:
<br /> AYE9, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing Resolu-
<br /> tion: Councilmen; ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, McNULTY, S'vYIFT, i7ERDER,
