<br /> RESOLUTION ORDERING THE VJORK �
<br /> (Resolution of Intention No. 1946-2)
<br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redti�ood City did, on the lst day '
<br /> of July, 1946, pass and adopt Resolution of Intention No. 1946-2, to order
<br /> the hereinafter described work to be done and improvements to be made in
<br /> said City.of Redwood City; and
<br /> WHEREA3, noticee oY the passage of said Resolution of Intention No.
<br /> 1946-2, headed "NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT", were duly and regularly posted
<br /> a.long the line of eaid contemplated work and improvemente and in front of
<br /> all the property liable to be assessed therefor, and on all of the streets 1
<br /> in the district to be assessed therefor, in time, form, manner and number
<br /> as required by law, as appears from the affidavits of LISLE 1YINTER, Super-
<br /> intendent of Streets of the City of Redwood City, and
<br /> - now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City; and
<br /> VPHERFAS, it appeare from the affidavits of said LISLE 17INTER
<br /> hereinbefore referred to herein, that the poeting of said noticea of9.im-
<br /> provement as aforesaid was completed on t he 6th day of July, 1946; and
<br /> t�HEREA9, it appeare from the affidavit of that said notice of the �
<br /> passage of said Resolution of Intention No, 1945-2 was duly and regularly
<br /> publiahed in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) newapaper,
<br /> published, printed and circulated in said City of Redrovood City; and
<br /> WHEREA3', in and by eaid Resolution of Intention No. 1948-2 and the
<br /> notices of the paseage thereof posted as aforesaid, said Council of the
<br /> City of Redwood City fixed Thursday, the 18th day of July, 1946, at the
<br /> hour of 8;00 o'clock P.M. of said day at the Council Chambers of the
<br /> Council of the City of Redwood City in the City Hall on Middlefield Road
<br /> in said City, as the day, hour and place when and where any and all per-
<br /> sons having any objectiona to the proposed work and improvement s described
<br /> in eaid Resolution of Intention No: 1946-2, or to the gradea at which said
<br /> work and improvements are to be done and raade, or to the diatrict assessed '
<br /> for said work and improvements, could appear before said Council and ehow
<br /> Cause why said proposed work and improvements should not::be carried out
<br /> and done in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. 1946-2, or •
<br /> why said work and.improvements ehould not be carried out and done at the
<br /> grades as shovun on the plane, profiles and detailed drawings referred to
<br /> in said Resolution of Intention PIo1'1946-2 and now on file in the office
<br /> of the Clerk of the City of Redv�ood City; and
<br /> WHEREAS, at the day, hour and place aforesaid, when and where any and
<br /> all persons having any objections to eaid work and improvemente described
<br /> in said Resolution of Intentian No. 1946-2 or.having any objections to the
<br /> proposed grades at which said work and improveraents are to be done and
<br /> made, or having any objections to the proposed diatrict to be assessed for
<br /> said work and improvements, could appear before the Council of the City
<br /> of Redwood City and show cause why said work and improvements should not �
<br /> be carried out and done in aceordance vrith Resolution of Intention No.
<br /> 1946-8, or why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried
<br /> out and done at the propoaed gradea as shown on the plane, profiles and
<br /> detailed draxings referred to in eaid Resolution of Intention No. 1946-2
<br /> and now on file in the office of the Clerk of eaid City of Redv�ood City,
<br /> or why said work and improvements should not be assessed against the die-
<br /> trict described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1946-2 by map referred
<br /> to therein, which map was approved by the Council of the City of Redwood
<br /> City on the lst day of July, 1946, certain persons appeared and made '
<br /> written objection to said work and improvementa described in said Resolu-
<br /> tion of Intention No. 1946-2 or to the extent of the dietrict to be
<br /> assessed thereFor; and
<br /> PJHEREA3, said Council did proceed to hear and pass upon said written
<br /> protests and did resolve and determine that said protests were not made
<br /> by one-half of the owners of the property proposed to be assessed for
<br /> said work and improvements; and
<br /> Y�HEREA3, said Council has acquired jurisdiction to order said work '
<br /> and improvemente:
<br /> THEREFORE HE IT RE30LVED, that the public interest and convenience
<br /> require the work and improveraents herein described, and the Council of the
<br /> City of Redwood City hereby orders the following work to be done and im-
<br /> provemente to be made in eaid City of Redtivood City, to-vuit:
<br /> That.the following streets and avenues be improved:
<br /> �,.� Quartz Street between Madison and Vera Avenues;
<br /> 'b, Ruby Street between Jefferson and Vera Avenues;
<br /> c.) �apphire Street between James and Vera Avenues; �
