A atorm drain structure in Taft Street across the creek tranersing <br /> ' said street between Vera and Roosevelt Avenues; <br /> m,) The acquiaition of property for the opening of Vera Avenue between <br /> Ruby Street and a po.int thereon approximately 114 feet south- <br /> westerly line of Junipero Street; <br /> � That the improvements and work to be done in said streete a.nd avenue is <br /> particularly described as follows: The grading of all atreets hereinaboce <br /> mentioned and the construction of a 6 inch waterbound macadam base and 1-1/2 <br /> incH asphaltic top pavement, combined concrete cement curbs and gutters on <br /> ' eaoh side of e�ch atreet, and 4 inch concrete cement sidewalks 5 feet wide <br /> along each side of each street. <br /> FURTHER RE90LVED, that the work and improvementa herein described ahall <br /> be done under the direction of the City Engineer of said City of Redwood Citp <br /> and that materials used therein ahall comply with the specifications hereto- <br /> fore adopted and be to the satisfaction of said Engineer instead of the <br /> 3uperintendent of Streets of said city; and that the assessments to be made <br /> in said proceeding shall be made and signed by said City Engineer instead of <br /> bg� the Superintendentc�of 8treets. <br /> � The Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed <br /> to post a notice of said work and improvements, together avith plans, profilee, <br /> detailed drawings and specifications therefor, conspicuously for five days <br /> on or near the Council Chamber door of the Council of said City of Redwood <br /> City invitirig sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and making the <br /> improvementa ordered herein. 8aid City Clerk is also ordered and directed <br /> to publish a notice inviting'euch sealed prop,osals or bids and referring to <br /> the plans,_profiles, detailed drawings and epecifications poated or on file <br /> for the period required by law in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily (ex- <br /> cept Sunday) newspaper of general circulation published, printed and circu- <br /> lated in the City of Redwood City, and hereby designated for that purpoae <br /> by the Council of said City. <br /> IT IS FtJRTHER ORDERED, that eaid sealed proposals or bids be publicly <br /> ' opened, examined and declared by the Council o£ said City of Redwood City <br /> at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P,M, of Monday, the 5th day of Auguet, 1946, <br /> and all bids must be filed with the Clerk of the Council of the City of <br /> Redwood City on or before such date and hour. <br /> The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Coun- <br /> cil of the City of Redwood City at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held <br /> on the 18th day of July, 1946, by the following vote: <br /> AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing Resolu- <br /> tion: :Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, BRZTSCHGI, GRANGER McNULTY, SWIFT, VPERDER <br /> and MAYOR HILTON. <br /> NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br /> � ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br /> 4B. Tofanelli was to have been nreaent at this meeting, <br /> He was not present and no action could be taken. A Mr, Davinroy appeared <br /> before the Council protesting the manner in vuhich Mr. Tofanelli was handling <br /> his subdivision and citing instances which made it appear ae though Mr, <br /> • Tofanelli had misrepresented several matters.
