Attorney McCarthy informed the Council that <br /> a city license for engaging in the bueiness of junk dealing is required. <br /> License fee is �50, renewable annually. Communication from the Coca- <br /> ; Cola Bottling Company stated that construction of advertising structure had <br /> r <br /> been started before the necessity of�applying for permit was realized. A <br /> diagram showing the dimensions and specifications of the advertising struc- <br /> ture was presented. Building Inspector L. M. Duncan reported that the si�n <br /> of the Fteno Club complies with Ordinance No. 272, as amended, but that the <br /> -sign of_the Coca Cola Company wa.s in violation of said ordinance in that ' <br /> itzexceeded the preacribed si2e limit. On motion of Councilman 44erder, <br /> seconded by Councilman Britschgi, permit to erect and maintain adqertising <br /> atructure vuas unanimously granted to Reno Club, <br /> Assistant Building Inspector Rreiss spoke from the floor on the violation <br /> -of the Cos�a Cola structure, City Attorney McCarthy referred to Ordinance <br /> 272, Section 12 limiting surface areas of advertieing structures to 250 <br /> squa.re feet, exaept with special permission of the City Council.
