He atrongly oppoaed to the pipe being uaed in the <br /> new subdinieion, <br /> Mr. Glenn Ticer also epoke and re:f.erred to plan for laying out water mains ' <br /> which had been presented to the Board of Fire Underwritere on July 20, 1945, <br /> and provided for work to be done over a three year period and called for <br /> 8" pipe on Alameda de las Pulgas and Edgewood Road and Edgewood Road and <br /> Biroh Street. E. He further stated that the reference that the pipe wae allo- <br /> cated to tnis aubdivieion in a caucus meeting was not true, that tne trans- ' <br /> action had been done in public meetinga, He said the tract had been an- <br /> nexed to the city over a year ago and was on the tax rolls. He offered, on <br /> , benalf of his company, to release tne pipe if the intereeotions would be <br /> . put . in. <br /> Counoilman Armstrong etated that the city nad been anxious to take the tract <br /> into the city before it was developed and the subdividers were willing to <br /> oome into the city before it was developed and to Yollow the requiremente <br /> of tne city in the development of the tract. City Manager Blom advised that it take ' <br /> about thirty days to get tbe plans ready and to advertise for bids. He <br /> believed it would be poaeible to receive bids at the eecond meeting in <br /> September. Anotner delivery of pipe is scheduled for October, <br /> City Manager Blom advised that an order in the amount of �53,000 had been <br /> placed in February and included pipe for the following projecte: 12 pipe <br /> to improve situation�com�ing down from the reservoir at the end of Brewster • <br /> . ...
