<br /> RESOLVED, by the Oity Oouncil of the City of Redwood City, California,� •
<br /> that
<br /> WHEREAB, the eaid Board, on the 3rd day of 8eptember, 1946, did adopt
<br /> a Reeolution of Intention No. 392 t.o order the conetruction oP grading,
<br /> paving, curbe, gutters, sidewalks, sanitary sewera, storm draine, electro-
<br /> liers with conduit and cable, Portland cement concrete etorm water pipe drain
<br /> with catcn basins, and reinforoed concrete culverts, in the streets in and
<br /> adjacent to Redwood Terrace No. 1, all as more particularly described and
<br /> set forth in eaid reaolution of intention,
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of the City of Redwood Oity is hereby
<br /> directed to publish, bq two successive insertione in the Redwood City Tribune
<br /> a newepaper published and oirculated in said City, a notice inviting sealed
<br /> proposa.ls or bida Yor trie conetruction of said improvements, and reYerring ,
<br /> to the plane and epecificatione on file in the office^of said Clerk, the
<br /> first oY which publications shall be at least ten daya prior to the time
<br /> fixed Yor opening bide.
<br /> All proposals or bide shall be accompanied by a certified aheok payable
<br /> to the order of the Clerk of this City; amounting to ten per cent of the '
<br /> bid, or by e, bond in said amount and payable to said City, signed by the
<br /> ;� bidder and two sureties who ahall �uetify before any officer competent to
<br /> adminieter an oath, in double eaid amount, and over and above all etatu-
<br /> tory exemptions, said check shall be forfeited or eaid bond shall become
<br /> •payable to said City in case trie bidder depoeiting the eame does not, within
<br /> Yifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to
<br /> ' him, enter into a aontract with the City, the faithful performance of which
<br /> ahall be secured by an undertaking in the amount of 25� of the amount so
<br /> bid, with sureties eatisfactory to this Council, and wriich shall be accom- •
<br /> panied by a lanor and material bond in a s�sn equal to 50°� oY the amount of
<br /> said bid, under the provisiona of the Labor and Materialmen�s Bond Act of
<br /> 1919.
<br /> Said sealed propoeals or bids shall be delinered to the City Clerk of
<br /> thia City on or before eight o'clock P. M, of the 7th day of October, 1946,
<br /> said time being not less than ten days from the time of the first publica-
<br /> tion of said notice. Bide will be publicly opened, examined and declared
<br /> on said day and hour.

<br /> by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, at a meeting
<br /> of said Council held on the 3rd day of September, 1946, by the following
