<br /> the price. Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman Granger,that
<br /> ' the matter be carried on the agenda. Motion paseed unanimously.

<br /> of publication of notice of eale of real property, being a portion of Lot

<br /> 9ealed bids were opened for the sale of the above mentioned property. The
<br /> following bide vuere received`: M. Richardson, 2354 Oak Knoll Drive, Redwood
<br /> City, �400. A poat office money order in the aanount of �40 was enclosed.
<br /> M. J. King, Inc., 231 Franklin Btreet, San Francisco, $501, A certified
<br /> check in the amount of �50.10 wae enclosed. Mr. L. A. Heiner, real estate
<br /> • appraiser, set the value of the,lot at �550. City Attorney MeCarthy advised
<br /> that the Council could accept a bid of 90°� of the appraised value, Council-
<br /> man Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, that the bid of M. J.
<br /> King, Inc, be accepted. Motion passed unanimously,
<br /> City Clerk Dodge reported that he, City Manager Blom and City Attorney McCarthy
<br /> had called on Mr. Harrington of the firm of Orrick, Dahlquist, Neff, Brown
<br /> ' and Harrington, in regard to the sale of �200,000 of bonds, Mr. Harrington
<br /> will prepare the necessary resolutions for submiaeion at the firat meeting
<br /> in March, An advertisement will aleo appear in the Redwood Gity Tribune
<br /> and it wae �dr, Harrington�e advice that an advertisement also apUear in the
<br /> Daily Bond Buyer because so many bond companies had access to the Sond Buyer
<br /> Mr. Harrington suggested that bids be opened either Marcn 19th or 20th and
<br /> that the Council adjourn ite meeting of March 18th to either of those datee.
<br /> The bida will be opened in the City Manager's office at 11:00 A, �i, of the
<br /> � day of the adjourned meeting, City Attorney McCarthy adviaed that Mr.
<br /> Harrington suggested Tuesday or 'Nednesday to open the bids becuase those
<br /> days cuere more advantageous to getting a better bid than t�onday. It was
<br /> tentatively decided that tne meeting of March 18th would be adjourned to
<br /> March 29, and that bids would be opened at 11:OO;A. M., March 20.
<br /> , City Manager Blom reported that Mr. Lloyd Fowler, a city employee avho had been
<br /> lining in a city owned cottage on Harbor Blvd., had resigned and wae moving
<br /> from the cottage. He recommended that, due to tne riousing snortage, thie
<br /> cottage be made available to a city employee who vras a returned veteran,
<br /> ' Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman Britechgi, that the City
<br /> Manager�s recomrnendation be approved and that the cottage be rented to a
<br /> returned serviceman in the city's employ on a month to month basis.

<br /> City Attorney McCarthy advised that Richard J. Meyer, et al, had granted an
<br /> easement to the city comprising of twenty feet running parallel with E1
<br /> • Camino Real and in back of a lot on Brecuster Avenue, and presented a
