RE90LVED by the City Council of this City that this City enter into a contract with the Board of 8upervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, for the acquiation by this City of the title of the State oY California to all State owned lands in Blocks 37, 38, 41 and Lots 19 to 28 inclusive of Block 42, as shown on a map entitled "Central Park No. 2" here- tofore recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of 3an � Mateo, said 3tate, said property being more particularly described in Exhibit "A" of the contract herein referred to; FURTHER RESOLVED: that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to negotiate with said Board of Supervisors to fix the price of said lots and to execute a contract on behalf of thie City Council. HILTON Mayor of the City of Redrvood City City Attorney McCarthy reported on dieabled veterane' exemptions. He advised that a disabled veteran of wara not including World War 11 who ic physically � unable to earn a livelihood by manual labor and is a voter of the State ie entitled to peddle or distribute mercnandise without any license fee but that � he snall be iaeued a free license. Councilman Granger expressed the opinion that it should be established tnat the veteran is disabled before granting a free license. It was decided that the City Attorney would draft a suitable � application for such purpoaea, Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councii= man MeNulty, that the City Attorney draft the neceseary application which the applicant must complete before the free licenee is granted, Motion passed unanimously. Councilman Britschgi offered resolution of preliminary intention to improve Beech � Street, seconded by Councilman Armstrong. On roll call, resolution was unanimously adopted with Councilrnen Anderson and'Fletcher absent.
