� � . <br /> :� <br /> TENTATNE AGREEMENT BE7WEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AND REDWOOD CITY POUCE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION (RCPOA) <br /> Tertn: <br /> The "Preamble' of the MOU will be amended as follows: <br /> This Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter MOU) is entered iMo . <br /> pursuant to the provisions of Section 3500 et. seq. of the Govemment <br /> Code af the State of Calffomia. <br /> The parties have met and conferred fn good faith regarding wages, hours <br /> and other tertns and condkions of employment for the employees in said <br /> representation unit, and have freefy exchanged infortnation, opinions and <br /> proposals and have reached agreement on alf matters relating to the <br /> empfoyment conditions and employer-employee relations of such <br /> employees. <br /> This amended MOU shall be presented to the City Counc+l of the City of <br /> Redwood City as the joint recommendation of the undersigned parties for <br /> salary and employee benef'd adjustments for the period commencing <br /> � September 1, 2008, and ending August 31, 2015. <br /> Exit Incentive Pian (EIP): <br /> . An employee who retires with a Service RetiremeM from the City between and induding <br /> the date this teMative agreemeM is ratified and adopted, and June 30, 2013, will be <br /> eligibie to receive a paymeM under the City's EIP equivaleM to the cost of purchasing two <br /> years of addftional service credit from CaIPERS. Such payment will be made by the City <br /> into an account for the retiree within the City Council approved tax deferred IRC Section <br /> 401(a) Plan. EIP's are only offered to those who retire on a service retirement. If an <br /> emptoyee has a disability retiremerrt apptication pending with Ca1PERS at the time of <br /> service retiremerrt, the employee is not eligibte for the E1P but remains eligible for the <br /> industrial disability retirement. M employee who elects to participate must notify the City <br /> in writing no later than three morrths before their planned retirement date. The details of <br /> that Plan are set forth in the Plan Document dated January 1, 2004. The City may <br /> amend said Plan from time to time to confortn to law and provide for the general <br /> administration of the Plan. The employee will sign a release agreement stating they <br /> agree with these terms and conditions of the EIP before receiving the benefit. <br /> June 9 2011 2 <br />
