Furlouah time will not count as hours worked for the purqose of <br /> calculating overtime. Exceqt in the event of an emeraencv. a <br /> worker will not be subiect to mandatorv, qre-scheduled overtime in <br /> the same workweek as the furlouah. <br /> h. Furlouah time off will <br /> be tracked under a separate unpaid hours code. <br /> 16.4 Standby Duty <br /> Workers assigned to standby duty shall, at their option, either be paid three (3) <br /> hours straight-time pay or receive three (3) hours of straight time compensatory <br /> time for each day they are on standby duty, . .. <br /> For weekend standbv dutv, a dav shall be considered a 24-hour qeriod for <br /> assiqnments beginninq at what would be the workers' reqularly scheduled start <br /> time on a scheduled workdav and endinq 24 hours later. For weekdav standbv <br /> dutv, a dav shall be considered the qeriod between the end of the worker's <br /> reaularlv scheduled shift and the beainninq of a new workdav or standbv shift the <br /> followinq morning. <br /> 76.8 Rest Periods after Extended Shift <br /> I 16.8.1 A worker who works more than fourteen (14) se+�sesdtia�hours during a twenty- <br /> four (24) hour period, startina at the beainnina of the worker's reaularlv <br /> scheduled start time, shall be entitled to receive aa-eighE ten (�10) hour rest <br /> period before returning to duty. Such rest period shall commence when the <br /> worker goes off duty. <br /> � 16.8.2 Should the eig��t-ten (�10) hour rest period extend beyond the starting time of the <br /> worker's regular shift, the worker shall be required to work only the remainder of <br /> that shift but shall be compensated as though he/she had worked the entire shift. <br /> � 16.8.3 Should a worker who has worked more than fourteen (14) seases+#}v�hours in a <br /> twenty-four (24) hour period be required to return to duty prior to completion of <br /> � the ei�t-ten (�10 hour rest period, that worker shall be compensated at one <br /> and one-half (1-1/2) times his/her regular rate of pay for the time remaining in the <br /> rest period. <br /> I <br /> Page 13 of 30 � <br /> Co g I 1 \ '�Q��\\ <br />
