��, ' <br /> TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION (SEIU) LOCAL 521 <br /> ARTICLE 17 - UNIFORM REIMBURSEMENT <br /> 17.2 Safety Boots <br /> 17.2.1 Workers who are required by the City to wear steel toed and/or ankle supported <br /> safety shoes/boots, or to work with asphalt as a usual and regular job duty shall <br /> receive a shoe/boot allowance of One Hundred �weaty-�i�reSeventv-five Dollars <br /> ($�2�175.00) as needed toward the cost of shoes/boots. <br /> Consumer Service Technicians and Urban Forestrv Specialists aad--�eaief <br /> shall receive Fi#Fy--One Hundred Dollars ($�0100.00) as <br /> needed toward the cost of safety shoes/boots. Management shall determine <br /> when the allowance is needed to replace shoes/boots. <br /> ARTICLE 18 - HOLIDAYS <br /> 18.1 Recognized Holidays <br /> Reaular, full-time workers will receive eight (81 hours holidav pav per recoqnized <br /> holidav. Recognized holidays w+u-beare as follows <br /> New Year's Day <br /> Martin Luther King Jr. Day (observed on the third Monday in January) <br /> Washington's Birthday (observed on the third Monday in February) <br /> Memorial Day (observed on the last Monday in May) <br /> Independence Day <br /> Labor Day (observed on the first Monday in September) <br /> Veterans Day (observed November 11) <br /> Thanksgiving Day <br /> The Day After Thanksgiving <br /> Christmas Eve <br /> Christmas Day <br /> New Year's Eve <br /> Two administrative holidays and such other days as may be proclaimed local <br /> holidays. Administrative holidays may only be taken in eight (8) hour increments. <br /> At the option of the worker, a worker may receive pay at the worker's straight- <br /> time rate of pay in lieu of one or both of the administrative holidays at eight (8) <br /> hours per administrative holiday. In the event that one or both of the <br /> administrative holidays are not used by the last pay period paid in the year <br /> (based on the preceding 26 pay periods), payment will be made no later than the <br /> first pay period in February.
