6.3.A. - Page 3 <br />The proposed Parks Impact Free Project List was approved by the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission, representing the top strategic projects and is now presented to <br />the City Council for its adoption. <br />This action currently does not require any appropriation of funds toward any project on <br />the Parks Impact Fee Project List. Staff will return to Council regarding the <br />appropriation of funds in the Parks Impact Fund for specific purposes, and to report on <br />the final disposition of these fees as required by Government Code section 66000 et <br />seq. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Amend the Parks Impact Fee Project List as Council chooses. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Park Impact Fees received are placed in the Parks Impact Fund, a special Capital <br />Improvement Program (CIP) fund maintained as required by California Government <br />Code section 66006 for purchase of land and /or creation of additional park capacity. <br />The collection of park impact fees does not prevent Council from using other CIP <br />monies to purchase park lands. <br />CHRISTOPHER BETH, <br />DIRECTOR PARKS, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES <br />ROBERT B.
