Transit Connectivity Project <br /> A consultant was hired to conduct a high speed rail corridor study by <br /> conducting a station area plan and a cursory review of the economic impact of <br /> high speed rail proposed within the redevelopment area. (Goal 6) <br /> RDA Expenditure during 2010/11: $56,000 <br /> 11. Mixed Use Corridor Zoning <br /> A portion of Agency funds was used to create the Mixed Use Corridor Zoning <br /> District as designated in the General Plan. This land use designation is <br /> applied to segments of certain streets lined with primarily with commercial and <br /> retail uses. Some of the streets are located within the redevelopment area, <br /> including EI Camino Real and Veterans Boulevard. The Mixed Use Corridor <br /> Zoning District recommends a more compact pattern of development with a <br /> mixed of uses while incorporating a multimodal environment. The proposed <br /> zoning will assist in the elimination of blight by encouraging the redevelopment <br /> of irregular lot sizes and obsolete buildings. The second reading for the <br /> adoption of the new zoning is scheduled July 2011. (Goal 5) <br /> RDA Expenditure during 2010/11: $33,072 <br /> 12. Depot Circle Development Request for Qualification <br /> The Agency provided financial assistance - appraisal, legal support, assistance <br /> with preparing the request for qualifications, hotel market feasibility, preparation <br /> of a tentative parcel map and a traffic study for predevelopment work of two <br /> City owned parking lots and public right-of-way for a future commercial and/or <br /> residential development adjacent to the Caltrain Station.
