IS Ira /Pierce to move approval of the resolution. Motion carries unanimously by a roll <br />call vote. <br />One Council Member expressed some concern with endorsing this because it will not meet <br />all the Redwood City reeds, which are in excess of the estimated $800,000 revenue. <br />However, he will support this because the electorate will decide once the matter is on the <br />ballot. Mayor Foust thanked the presenters and said she would like to see them to return <br />with a policy on the use of funds when this passes and if it passes in June 2008. <br />8. MATTERS of COUNCIL INTEREST <br />A. Legislation (information only) - This sub - section involves possible discussion of <br />City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus Bulletin No. 10-2008 and 1 -2008: council may direct staff to act on <br />positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus <br />available in City Clerk's D epartment). <br />B. New General Plan Monthly Status Progress — Mayor Foust {Informational Staff <br />Report). <br />Mayor Foust referred to the written report, and announced upcoming monthly update <br />that will be provided on a rotational basis format with each Council member reporting <br />out. Mayor Foust explained the recent meetings and everts that have taken place and <br />that the project is on schedule. <br />C. Council Reports on Committee Meetings Attended. <br />2# council Member Hartnett — (taken out of sequence). Council Member Hartnett <br />provided details on the recent work of the Joint Powers Board of the Life <br />Support and hove this organization has a goal to eliminate the boundaries <br />between fire and medical calls in San Mateo County. He announced that there <br />is a Request for Proposal for a now contract and it has been restructured based <br />on input from members of this Board. <br />1. Council Member Aguirre — Reported on a recent c CAG 2020 Policy Advisory <br />Committee and hove this body has come up with a draft list of accomplishments. <br />She outlined some of the options before this committee and the exciting <br />proposals that are to be decided upon. She also attended the Bay Area Water <br />Forum and she referred to the 2009 California Water Plan. She also served on <br />the Chamber Education committee and she .recognized the work that is being <br />done by ArneriCor s in this community.
