C��p�r <br /> Several key criteria have been identified by the Port as being necessary for a successful project. <br /> • Maintain Operatious Throughout ConstrucHon - The operations of the eacisting aggregate <br /> wharf and adjacent cement terminal must not be impacted by the construction. Currendy, <br /> approximately 3 aggregate vessels call at the terminal each month with an average duration of <br /> 24 to 36 hours. Work must be staged and planned to maintain access to the dolphins and <br /> equipment on the eacisting wharf and to avoid conflicts with vessels. <br /> • Functionality. of Wharf and Upland Areas - The new wharf must meet the functional <br /> requuements identified by the Port. In addition, the upland improvements must satisfy not <br /> only the requirements identified by this project, but should also facIlitate the continued <br /> operations of the adjacent properties. <br /> • Cost and Value - Wkrile the Port has secured funding for this project, the Port seeks to <br /> m;,»mize cost while maximirng value. <br /> • Schedule - The Port is committed to realizing the project completion date of August 30, 2013. <br /> • Successful Relationship with the Project Team - The Port is committed to working <br /> collaborarively with the selected Contractor to achieve a successful project. <br /> 5 Owner and Owner's Consultants <br /> The Port of Redwood City is the owner of the Wharves 1 and 2 Project. The Port is located at 675 <br /> Seaport Boulevard, Redwood City, CA 94063. The Port has retained the following consultants to <br /> assist with project planning, 35% design and specifications, RFQ, RFP, and permitting. These <br /> consultants aze excluded from participa6on on a Contractor's team.
