6.3.A. - Page 13 <br />7.2.1 Initial Appointments <br />The classification of Deputy Fire Marshal shall be included in Sections 7.2.1 <br />and 7.2.3. <br />7.5 Overtime <br />Forty -hour employees shall be included in Section 7.5 by adding the following <br />language: <br />7.5.2 Forty (40) Hour Workweek Employees <br />Overtime for employees in the classification of Deputy Fire Marshal and Fire <br />Prevention Officer is authorized time worked beyond forty (40) hours in paid <br />status in one (1) work week, and for work performed in excess of eight (8) <br />consecutive hours in one (1) day (exclusive of lunch period), except as <br />provided in Section 7.5.3. Overtime shall be paid at the rate of one and one - <br />half (1 -1/2) times the employee's regular straight -time rate. <br />7.5.3 An employee in the classification of Deputy Fire Marshal or Fire Prevention <br />Officer who is assigned to a shift consisting of more than eight (8) consecutive <br />hours per shift (exclusive of lunch period) shall be entitled to overtime after <br />forty (40) hours in paid status in one (1) work week. <br />7.12 Educational Incentive <br />In the first sentence, change the word "employees" to "Fire Fighter /Engineers <br />and Fire Captains ". <br />7.12.1 Emergency Medical Training (EMT) Incentive <br />In the first sentence, change the phrase "fire personnel" to "Fire <br />Fighter /Engineers and Fire Captains ". <br />7.13 Uniform Allowance <br />Deputy Fire Marshals and Fire Prevention Officers will be eligible for uniform <br />allowance as described in Section 7.13 of the MOU between the parties. <br />On Call Pay (To be added to Section 7) <br />Forty -hour employees may occasionally be offered, and may accept the offer, <br />to be "on call." On call pay and on call schedules are subject to the prior <br />approval of the Fire Chief. For every twenty -four (24) hours assigned to on call <br />duty, 40 -hour employees shall be compensated by three (3) hours straight - <br />time pay or three (3) hours of straight time compensatory time off. The 24 -hour <br />duty shall begin at 8:00 am and end at 8:00 am the following day. <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />
