What I found out was very <br />different. <br />That's right PAL does serve the <br />community with outstanding after <br />school programs, but we do more. We <br />serve the whole child and family with <br />additional programs. <br />We feel that it takes the whole <br />community to raise a child and <br />therefore offer programs and additional <br />resources throughout our community to <br />contribute to a higher quality of life for <br />the child and their family. <br />The second program is PAL Academic <br />Achievement program provides truancy <br />and tutoring support for our <br />participants. The tutoring program <br />works with youth that are at least one <br />year behind their classmates in school <br />"Without the tutoring, those students <br />would continue to fall behind year after <br />year Once a child falls so far behind, <br />they become discouraged and many <br />drop out when they get to high school, <br />PAL kids succeed with many catching <br />up after just one year of tutoring. <br />Capt.
