&A
J. estate Planning
Very few of the interviewees would even discuss estate planning, and felt that PAL needs
to be around and a little more successful before they are asked to be included in
individual's estate planning for charitable donations.
Ill. Favorable and Challenging Factors to the Campaign
A. Favorable Factors
1. The need for a permanent home for PAL was supported nearly 100% by the
those interviewed.
2. The proposed PAL location at Taft School was supported by again, the
majority of those interviewed. They felt that it was a positive project for the
community, and the location would be good, since it was not duplicating
efforts of the YMCA or the Boys & Girls Club as to location.
3. PAL is looked upon by the community, including the business community and
the Chamber of Commerce, as being a viable element in the move towards
stabilizing neighborhoods and youth, and feel that the public /private
partnership would be a positive factor.
4. The climate for fund - raising could not be better, and those interviewed felt
that the timing of a campaign was appropriate, and that the project was
certainly needed.
