12. An asbestos survey ( including the collection and analysis of suspect
materials will be performed by a qualified environmental professional and
submitted to the City prior to the issuance of any demolition permit. if
asbestos - containing materials are determined to be present, the materials
will be abated prior to demolition by a certified asbestos abatement
contractor in accordance with the regulations and notification requirements
of the BAAQMD
3.A qualified acoustical consultant will review final site plans, buildin
elevations, and floor plans prior to construction to calculate expected
inferior noise levels as required by City policies and State noise
regulations. Project- specific acoustical analyses are required by the
California Building Code to confirm that the design results in interior noise
levels reduced to 45 d A CNEL or lower. The specific determination of
what noise insulation treatments are necessary will be conducted on
unit-by-unit basis. Special building techniques (e.g., sound -rated windows,
building f Bade treatments will b required to maintain interior noise
levels at or below acceptable levels. These treatments wound include, but
are net limited to, sound -rated windows and doors, sound -rated gall~
constructions, acoustical caulking, protected ventilation openings, etc.
Results of the analysis, including the description of the necessary noise
control treatments, will be submitted to the City along with the building
plans and approved prior to issuance of a billing permit,
14. Building sound insulation requirements need to include the provision of
forced -air mechanical ventilation for all residential units, so that windows
could be kept closed at the occupant's discretion to control noise, The
ventilation system must not compromise the sound insulation,
115A construction noise mitigation plan will be developed in close
coordination with adjacent noise- sensitive land uses so that noise from
construction activities can be scheduled to minimize noise disturbance
and reduced to the extent feasible. The construction noise mitigation ation Tarr
shall comply with the following standard controls, identified under
Program P S-63 in the Redwood City General Plan,
16. Prior to the issuance of any site- specific grading or building permits, a
design -level geotechnical investigation will be prepared by the project
applicant and submitted to the City of Redwood City Building Division for
review and confirmation that the proposed development fully complies with
the California Building Code. The report will address potential seismic
hazards such as ground shaking, liquefaction, and expansive soils. The
report will identify building techniques appropriate to minimize e selsmic
damage. In addition, the recommendations contained in the Preliminary
G eotech nical Evaluation Trea weII & Rollo 201 0) wiif be incorporated into
ATT YRESO. 19111 - 4 PD PERMIT 640 VETERANS
E:o11111
