The Mixe� Use Corridar Zoning Ordinance <br /> amendments also pro�ide far adcEitional units, at 60 units to the acre, o�tsid� the Downtown <br /> area alang the City's major trat�sportation carridars. <br /> Progress in meeting the regional housing needs <br /> California law requires each city and county to have iand zoned ta accommodate its fair share <br /> of regional housing n�ed. The Cali#ornia Department of Hous�ng and Community Developrnent <br /> �HCDJ determined that the projected housing need far the Assaciatian of 8ay Area <br /> Gavernments (ABAG) region was 214,500 ho�sing units. Working with locaf ga�ernments, <br /> ABAG allocated this projected growth ta the variou5 cities and unincorporated area5 within the <br /> regian, as the regional housing needs allocation (RHNA). The RHNA is divided into �ariaus <br /> incorr�e categories.
