• Cut/fill for each alternative
• Materials import for each alternative
• Length of construction for each alternative
• Opinion of best method of rock excavation if rock is expected to be encountered for
the alternatives considered
• Discussion of the possible use of retaining walls, their anticipated height, type, and
advantages/disadvantages and limitations
• Discussion of how certain alternatives will alter the pumping requirements from what
is required for the proposed project (changes in number of pumps, size of pumps,
hours the pumps run, etc.) and trigger other changes in the City's Water System. The
discussion will compare each alternative to the projecYs service and engineering
performance goals.
4. Participation in conference calls and team coordination.
Callander Associates: The following supporting tasks will be performed by Callander
Associates to support the alternatives analysis.
1. Prepare Visual Simulations for Project Alternatives: Based on conceptual site plans
provided by IEC and the updated landscape plan, Callander Associates will prepare
visual simulations of the project alternatives using the same view point locations as
presented for the proposed project.
Cornerstone Earth Group: The Consultant has included Cornerstone Earth Group in
the scope of work on the viability of each alternative and their expert opinion on the
geotechnical, retaining wall design, groundwater, and slope stability constraints of each
alternative.
Effects Not Found to be Signicanr CEQA Guidelines Section 15128 require an EIR
to contain a statement briefly indicating the reasons that various possible significant
effects of the project were determined not to be significant and were therefore not
discussed in detail in the EIR. The EIR will reference the findings of the 2013 Initial
Study and provide the entire Initial Study as an appendix.
References: The document will include a list of references used and persons consulted
during preparation of the EIR.
Appendices: The EIR will include technical appendices associated with the analysis.
Examples include, but are not limited to, the IS/MND engineering analysis for the project
and its alternatives or geotechnical analysis for the alternatives.
2.2 Public Draft EIR
ATTY/AGR/2014/AMENDMENTS/AMEND NO.1 TRA ENVIRONTENTAL SCIENCES INC.—CALIFORNIA TANK
REV:06-05-14 VR
Page7of17
