M <br />�-C.zS <br />Property. The covenants set forth in this Section 17 shall be <br />covenants running with the land and shall consist of the following: <br />a. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 <br />(1) Pursuant to Section 514 (Public Law 93- 1.12), the <br />Participating Owner agrees that no otherwise qualified peri;ons with <br />disabilities shall, solely by reason of a disability, be excluded <br />from the participation in, be denied benefits of, or be subjected <br />to discrimination in the performance of this contract or in the <br />selection of low income owners to purchase the dwelling to be built <br />on the "Property." <br />(2) Compliance of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act <br />of 1973, as amended, requires that all benefits, aids and services <br />are made available to persons with disabilities on an equivalent <br />basis with those received by non - disabled persons. The <br />Participating Owner shall agree to be in compliance with Section <br />504 requirements by developing a plan for compliance to be <br />submitted to the Section 504 Coordinator as soon as possible but <br />not later than by the close of escrow for this acquisition. <br />Certain units within the Project shall be constructed to comply <br />with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as set forth in <br />the Scope of Development. <br />b. Affirmative Action. The Participating Owner <br />certifies that it is in compliance with the Equal Employment <br />Opportunity Requirements of Executive Order No 11246, as amended by <br />Executive Order No 1375, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, <br />the California Fair Employment Practices Act and any other federal <br />or state laws pertaining to equal employment opportunity, and that <br />it will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for <br />employment or opportunity to purchase the dwelling to be built on <br />the "property." on the basis of race, religion, color, national <br />origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, marital <br />status, sexual preference, or political affiliation in matters <br />pertaining to occupancy, hiring, training, upgrading, transfers, <br />compensation or termination. <br />C. Fair Employment Practices <br />(1) In the performance of this contract, the <br />Participating Owner agrees to not discriminate against any employee <br />-6 <br />
