3.0.22 The Contractor shall design and construct the vessel such that the hull shape, the <br /> location of all hull openings and location of transducers and all other appendages satisfy the <br /> design recommendations and requirements of the engine manufacturer. <br /> 3.0.23 There shall be two (2) hose cabinets/lockers in the aft section of the deck on each side <br /> measuring 72'X 12"X 48" interior dimensions. The compartment will be divided into two <br /> sections. The top compartment shall have a door opening on top running the length of the <br /> compartment with the hinges on the outside section. There will be a floor separating the top <br /> compartment from the bottom at 24 inches. The bottom compartment shall have a side door <br /> facing the interior running the length of the compartment with the hinge on the bottom. A <br /> channel or gutter shall be installed to collect water seepage through the hatches and drain it <br /> clear of the hatch opening. All latches to be mounted so not to be a trip hazard. <br /> 3.0.24 The deck shall have a four (4) cleat configuration. <br /> 3.0.25 A 4-inch diameter half-round rubber fender shall be fitted around the entire deck edge <br /> at the sheer line. The rubber fender shall be provided with means of preventing separation of <br /> the fender at joints between fender sections. <br /> 3.0.26 Four (4) 3-inch mooring bits (two at the bow and one at each stern quarter) shall be <br /> welded to the deck and two open bow chocks shall be welded to the deck. <br /> 3.0.27 Four (4) 12-inch cleats shall be provided, one each, port and starboard, at the forward <br /> end of the cabin/pilothouse and one each, port and starboard, at the aft end of the <br /> cabin/pilothouse. <br /> 3.0.28 A minimum of four (6) 10-pound zinc anodes shall be placed below the waterline at <br /> the transom. Doublers plates or insert plates shall be fitted in way of the zinc anodes. <br /> 3.0.29 All structure shall be free from resonant vibration over the boat's speed range. Free <br /> from resonant vibration means free from vibration detrimental to the fatigue life of the hull <br /> structure,the operation of inechanical or electrical equipment and systems installed in the <br /> boat, or to the health and safety of personnel operating the boat. <br /> 3.0.30 It is required that the vessel be provided with a single level main deck free from <br /> obstructions. Side decks shall be a minimum of 18" in width for crew safety. Safety railings <br /> shall be mounted around the full perimeter of the aft cockpit deck. The forede�k railings - <br /> shall be mounted inboard both sides of the cabin roof and around the cuddy roof and port and <br /> starboard of the foredeck. Safety rails shall be accessible from any point on deck for a <br /> crewman. <br /> 3.1 Cabin/Pilothouse Structure: <br /> 3.11 The cabin/pilothouse shall be a minimum of eight(8) feet long and have clear <br /> headroom of six (6) feet, six (6) inches. The cabin width shall allow a walkway around the <br /> cabin that is at least 22 inches wide, port and starboard. <br /> 3.1.2 The cabin/pilothouse shall be acoustically and thermally insulated. Engine noise level <br /> in the cabin/pilothouse at full power shall be no greater than 85db at the steering station, <br /> underway, at maximum rated continuous power, not pumping water, with cabin/pilothouse <br /> doors, windows and hatches closed, and not greater than 90db under the same conditions <br /> when pumping water. <br /> 3.1.3 Front windows shall be fitted with window washers and self-parking wipers. <br /> 3.1.4 Front windows shall have a 10 to 15-degree slope from the vertical. Front windshields <br /> shall be heated glass. Windows shall slope outwards from bottom to top. Side and aft <br /> windows shall have a 15% tint, forward windshields shall be clear. Cabin windows shall be <br /> constructed in such a way to give a 360 degree view. <br /> 3.1.5 Forward Side windows shall open by sliding and have a provision to be locked closed. <br /> 3.1.6 N/A <br /> 3.1.7 All glazing shall be 1/4" safety glass, following the standards and recommendations of <br /> the ABYC. <br /> 7 <br />
