. 2: cope 8 Turf Project Material/Services Descriptions: 72,000 sq.ft. -- The final size, scope and location
for the approved synthetic turf sport field shall be determined and approved by the Recipient staff and/or
architect. A design architect is normally not needed for a turf field replacement, but this is at the discretion of
the sponsored project owner. This confirmed information shall than be transcribed into a "Final Sports Field
Schematic Lay Out& Production OrdeP'. The final summary produced by CSDC that will show the installation
lay out for the sports field, in 15'wide turf roll increments as well as placement of artwork, logos and inseamed
lines, etc. There is an additional costs associated with extra lines (beyond a soccer or football configuration) ,
togos and artwork to be installed on the field (see section 6 below) For the purposes of this MOU, CSDC and
its alliance has committed to sponsoring and furnishing a minimum: 72,000+ - sq. ft premium synthetic sports
turF system, using the turf production specs that will be reviewed and approved by Recipient.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Most CSDC supported projects are funded by donor and/or non profit funds and not by
government funding. If however, taxpayer dollars are used then we need to plan and think through the best
approach for how the project will proceed. There are a number of options for identifying a sole source supplier
when a unique product or service is being acquired. 7here is also the option of utilizing a"Professional
Services ContracY'where the CSD Council can act as a compensated agent to arrange and secure a 100°
donated sports field. The key here is to be sure we observe and comply with all state and local public
contracting regulations, but still are able to secure the partially donated and subsidized sports field under our
2012 Funding Initiative.
3. Professional NCAA/NFL Quality Rubber Infill Synthetic Sports Field. The sizes &dimensions set forth
above are deemed fairly accurate, but are still preliminary estimates and may be adjusted up or down upon final
determination. The final sponsored cost shall also be adjusted based on a square footage basis. The highest quality
premium poly ethylene rubber infill turf system available in the United States, and approved in advance by the
Recipient shall be used. CSDC has recommend a higher density 45 oz. pile weight polyethylene monofilament
Bowform fiber with 8 oz. double primary backing and a heavy duty 26 oz. urethane secondary backing. This turf is
sometimes referred to as having "Fieldturf Specs" , with the only difference being these specs have an improved
and increased fiber density up to a 45 oz. per sq. yard. CSDC believes that this higher density translates directly into
greater longevity and longer field usage and endurance. Recipient shall have the opportunity to review, approve and
sign off on the final"Turf Specifications" and the Mill Production Order prior to order and delivery.
4. Ancillary Installation Equipment Donation. CSD Councit will collaborate with Recipient so that Recipient can
arrange for the partial or full donation of certain installation rental equipment that will be needed during the 2 week turf
installation period. If this equipment was rented at full rental value it would cost in the range of$3,800-$4,500
(depending on location) for the duration of the installation project. This equipment is comprised of a Bobcat(loader)
industrial generator/compressor, fork lift , power cords, compressor hoses ,etc. A complete list will be provided.
5. TurF System Installation Company-Alliance Member. This sponsorship and paRial donation, and the warranties for
the turf system, are contingent on the facilities being installed properly by the CSDC alliance approved and certified turf
installation company. The CSD Council has obtained approval from a key alliance member- Baez Sports Group (BSG)
and it's aliate contractors which has an experienced team of install supervisors &crew. The turf system will be installed
by this alliance member under the supervision and permitting of the RecipienYs selected site General Contractor for the
site and excavation work at the project location- if one is needed. BSG will serve as a subcontractor in collaboration with
the chosen local excavation and/or project manager. In some instances a local subcontractor/landscape company shall be
retained as an affiliate contractor to work and provide labor for the installer.
The installation services shatl be supplied at the agreed upon sponsored compensation rate of$1.27 per sq.ft. We have
taken into consideration that this project will be funded with public money and therefore the install rate has been calculated
with the cost of prevailing wages in mind. If private or non taxpayer money is being used, this rate coutd be lower.
6. Additional Field Artwork and Line Options: All soccer field boundary lines are included with this donation/sponsor
package. Many sports fields have additional sports lines or artwork painted on the synthetic turf using a special latex/poly
paint for this purpose. If additional in seamed white tufted (not painted) lines, center circle or goal box lines are desired,
there is an additional cost payable to the Turf installation company to install such artwork/lines. It is estimated that a
regulation soccer layout will have an added cost of between $6800 and $7800 labor. This is about 50% less than what the
industry norm is and is a sponsored &subsidized price. This additional work shall also be reflected in the Installation
Senrice Order entered into befinreen Recipient and the installation company. Artwork, lines& logos will have both a
material production cost and an installation cost associated with them. Recipient shall make the final determination &
approval of this added cost on a separate Purchase Order and Invoice prior to production and shipping.
7. Importance of General Contractor and Site Work There may be some site work or repair that will need to be
accomplished prior to the new synthetic turf field being installed. The CSDC and the Recipient will collaborate to arrange
for an experienced local excavation contractor to work with the project(hopefutly also on a sponsored basis) to undertake
