Ordinance No. 114 <br />Page 3 <br />said Town of rtedwood City use by said Town and the inhabitants thereof to be <br />for street and sidewalk purposes only. All tracks laid by said Company of <br />said strip of land so to be used jointly, shall be laid and maintained flush <br />with the surface thereof. <br />2-- Said Southern Pacific Railroad Company shall grade, macadamize and keep <br />macadamized said northerly 18i feet strip as described in the preceding para- <br />graph. <br />Such strip to be graded, macadamized and kept macadamized between the westerly <br />line of Winslow Street (formerly Fourth Street) and the easterly limits of <br />said Town of Redwood City. <br />3-- Said rights, privileges and franchises are hereby granted only upon the <br />condition that the said Southern Pacific Railroad Company shall within ten <br />days after the publication of this Ordinance file with said Town of Redwood <br />City its acceptance in writing of the terms and conditions thereof and in <br />the event of the failure of said Southern Pacific Railroad Company so to file <br />its written acceptance of the terms and conditions of this Ordinance as afore- <br />said the same and the rights, privileges and franchises hereby granted shall <br />thereupon become null and void and of no further force or effect. <br />SECTION III. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect immediately. <br />SECTION IV. <br />This Ordinance shall be published once in the Times -Gazette, a weekly <br />newspaper published printed and circulated in the said Town of Redwood City, <br />California. <br />Introduced April lst, 1912. <br />Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the Town of Redwood City, at a <br />regular adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees of said Town by the follow- <br />ing vote, <br />Ages, and in favor of the passage of said Ordinance, <br />Trustees, Beeger, Brown, Hynding, Sampson and Merrill. <br />Noes, and against the passage of the said Ordinance, <br />Trustees, None. <br />Absent, Trustees, None. <br />George A.
