Physical activity is promoted through providing a <br /> physical and social environment that enables safe and enjoyable participation in <br /> physical activity through a planned and developmentally appropriate physical education <br /> and nutrition education curricula and instruction that meets the PE standards from <br /> kindergarten through 5th grade. <br /> Goa( 5- Program Evaluation: SHD Pro�ram Director will consult with staff from John <br /> Gardner Center to develop assessment tools and will work with CITY, PCC, and RCSD to <br /> conduct baseline assessments and ongoing monitoring and reassessments. It is <br /> anticipated that RCSD Wellness Coordinator will assist with survey execution and data <br /> collection. Data will be used to measure program quality and impact, share outcome <br /> information with stakeholders, make necessary modifications, and use best practices to <br /> cultivate and expand program. <br /> Goal 6- Sustainabi(ity: Program is designed to assure positive changes are sustained. <br /> Goa! 7- Progrom Growth: In coordination with PCC, the program is expected to expand <br /> program to 3 days per week at all 14 elementary schools by Year 3 with financial <br /> contributions from additional sources. <br /> V. Staffing Plan and Employee Contracts <br /> CITY will hire a PE Coordinator and approximately 12 coaching staff with the funds provided by <br /> SHD through this agreement. CITY will ensure that all coaches are LiveScan fin�erprinted, and <br /> TB-tested, subject to the final approval of RCSD to work on school grounds. Coaches will be at <br /> least the age of majority, and have graduated from high school. Coaches will have either <br /> worked with children before or coached sports in other contexts and will all be trained to teach <br /> physical education using PCC's curriculum. <br /> CITY will be responsible for advertising, interviewing, and filling these positions. Contractual <br /> agreements, including consultant or employment a�reements for staff, will be made through <br /> CITY. The amount of SHD funding allocated for PE Coordinator includes salary and benefits. If <br /> City offers salary and benefits above the funding amount established by SHD pursuant to this <br /> A�reement, SHD will not be responsible for funding these additional amounts.
