i <br /> • owner directed changes during construction; and <br /> • protocol for processing RFI's, review of submittals or substitutions, <br /> requests for equitable adjustments and any changes to the contract <br /> sum or contract time. <br /> 3.2 Conduct weekly coordination meetings between the construction <br /> contractors and engineer(s). <br /> 3.3 Document all meetings and verbal directives and provide copies to <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR within five (5) working days. <br /> 3.4 Receive and review all payment requests, and make recommendations as <br /> to payment. <br /> 3.5 Receive and review all written requests from consultant and construction <br /> contractors for additional time or money and make recommendations to <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR regarding same. <br /> 3.6 Document any conditions which the construction contractor alleges is an <br /> unforeseen condition by photograph or written memorandum. Advise <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR of the alleged unforeseen <br /> condition as soon as it is reported. Coordinate the timely exchange of <br /> information regarding the condition, including supplemental instructions <br /> and proposal requests befinreen the architect and contractor to avoid <br /> delays and resulting claims for additional time and costs. When requested <br /> by COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, evaluate contractor <br /> assertions of unforeseen conditions and provide a recommendation <br /> regarding resolution of same. <br /> 3.7 Document any observed safety violation, hazardous condition, or incident <br /> of bodily injury or property damage. Advise COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR and construction contractor of the <br /> observation on the same day it is noted in the daily log. Coordinate the <br /> timely exchange of information regarding the condition to avoid injury, <br /> damage, delays and resulting claims for additional time and costs. When <br /> requested by COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, evaluate <br /> contractor refusals to comply with contract safety specifications and <br /> provide a recommendation regarding resolution of same. <br /> 3.8 Evaluate Project document changes issued by engineer prior to issuing <br /> them to the contractor(s) and make recommendations to the <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR for the appropriate Engineer's <br /> Supplemental Instructions or Proposal Requests -designation. When the <br /> contractor submits requests for compensation for a proposed change in <br /> scope, PROJECT MANAGER shall review and submit written <br /> ATTY/AGR/2012.097/VANIR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT <br /> REV:08-07-12 VR <br /> Page 13 of 23 <br />
