These conflicts cauld include a use <br /> that would create a n�isance for adjacer�t properties ar result in incompatibility <br /> with sur�aunding land uses, such as differences i� #he physical scale of <br /> de�elopment, noise levels, trafFic ievels, or hours of operation. <br /> � Evaluate the extent to which adapted City develo�ment standards or proposed <br /> design standards would eliminate or mir�imize potential canflicts within the <br /> proposed project site, resulting in environmenfal impacts. The Redwood City <br /> General Plan, Zoning Ordinance, and ath�r applicable plans will be examined <br /> and the �roposed project's consistency with applicable portions of these plans <br /> will be described. <br /> Mineral Resources <br /> Consultant will describe existing conditions at the project site and identify the <br /> mineral resources zone classification for soils at the site. It is anticipated that the <br /> site does r�ot contain significanf mineral resources and that the discussion will be <br /> brief. <br /> Noise <br /> Consultant will camplete the fallowing tasks: <br /> • Summarize the existing noise environrnent for the p�oject area and related <br /> er��ironmental noise impacts. The analysis will provide existing conditions <br /> informatian and refevant background information, ir�c�uding noise <br /> fundamentais, descriptors, and applicable federal, state, and the Redwood City <br /> General Pfan Noise Element. <br /> • Existing noise canditions will �e quantified through ambient noise <br /> measurements consisting of a maximum of two site visits and the <br /> measurement of on-site and off-site ambient noise levels (up to four short-term <br /> [i.e., 15-minute] with vehicle caunts and one long-term [i.e., 24-haur]). All <br /> monitoring focations will be approved by the City. <br /> + Assess the �otential sho�t-term, construction-related exterior and interior noise <br /> impacts (e.g., on-site heavy-duty equfpment} with respect to nearby noise- <br /> sensitive receivers. Project-generated noise le�els at these receivers will be <br /> �uantified using the reference noise measur�men# data alor�g with standard <br /> r�oise modeling practices (e.g., combined construc#ion noise level, acceptable <br /> assumptians regard�ng exterior-to-interior noise reduction due to building <br /> fa�ade}. <br /> • Quantify poten#iai transporkation noise source increases (e.g., increased traffic <br /> alnng Broadway} generated by the proposed project.
