Plans are to be prepared using AutoCAD software and design will be in <br /> accordance with current Federal and State design standards, California MUTCD <br /> guidelines, and the City of Redwood City's design standards. <br /> Task 5.1 - 65% Design PS&E <br /> Work performed under this task shall refine the preliminary plans and specifications, <br /> generate 65% design level plans, specifications, and estimates and shall commence <br /> after the completion of the preliminary design and receipt of the City's comments. <br /> a. Make revisions to preliminary design based on comments and discussions with <br /> the City, community, and appropriate permitting agencies. <br /> b. Prepare construction documents and specifications for review by Redwood City, <br /> which is to include, but not be limited to: <br /> • Title sheet with vicinity map and general notes <br /> • Layout plan and profile <br /> • Project details <br /> • Lighting plan <br /> • Drainage plan <br /> • Utility plan <br /> • Landscape and Irrigation plan <br /> • Signage and striping plan <br /> • Erosion control plan <br /> • Draft SWPPP <br /> • PUC structure details <br /> • Miscellaneous construction details <br /> • Temporary shoring plan <br /> • Log of test borings sheet <br /> • 65% technical specifications compiled in Caltrans format <br /> • 65% construction cost estimate based on current and historical unit prices <br /> that have been collected from recent construction bids and supplemented <br /> with Caltrans' cost data book. <br /> • Draft wall type selection report <br /> Deliverables: Two hard copies of the Draft SWPPP, five hard copy half-size sets of the <br /> 65% plans, five hard copies of the 65% technical specifications, one hard copy of the <br /> 65% construction cost estimate. <br /> Task 5.2 - 95% Design PS&E <br /> The 95% plans shall incorporate comments from the 65% submittal review. At this <br /> point, the draft boilerplate shall be added to the 65% technical specifications and the <br /> complete specifications shall be fully edited to the specific project requirements. The <br /> 65% construction cost estimate shall be updated based on the 95% plans and <br /> specifications.
