6.4.A. - Page 2 <br /> A temporary use is any use of public or private property for uses not normally <br /> authorized as permanent, permitted uses by the zoning ordinance, including but not <br /> limited to uses such as: film/video productions, off-site sales events, swap meets, flea <br /> markets, pumpkin patches, Christmas tree lots, sports tournaments, outdoor art and <br /> craft shows and exhibits. A temporary use may not continue for more than 120 days. <br /> Applicants for special event and temporary use permits must make arrangements for <br /> and provide: off-street parking arrangements for both employees/operators and guests; <br /> supervision, security and crowd control; collection and removal of all trash, garbage; <br /> and litter; and sanitary facilities. They must also provide insurance to protect the city <br /> and agree to indemnify for any costs or damages incurred by the city due to the event. <br /> The Department reviewing the application is authorized to add any other necessary <br /> conditions. <br /> Prior notice of the event is required to be given to adjoining property owners and all <br /> interested persons may appeal the decision to the City Manager if they are unsatisfied <br /> with the decision or permit conditions. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> 1. The City Council could choose not to take any action. <br /> 2.
