Plans shall not be smaller than 1"=50' and are <br /> to include related notes, legends, abbreviations, adjacent building identifications, street names, and <br /> north arrow. <br /> TASK 4: CONSULTANT shall prepare up to two design options for the installation of new single'mode <br /> fiber optic network giving consideration to minimizing nefinrork downtime and need for placement of new <br /> conduit based on findings from investigation found in Task 1 in a format as noted in Task 3. All <br /> terminations are to be SC-SC style and clearly labeled. It is anticipated that the fiber optic nefinrork <br /> replacement work will be pertormed during the December 2012 holiday city hall closure. In conjunction <br /> with providing cost estimates for design options, CONSULTANT shall provide a proposed schedule of <br /> milestones based on work associated with each building. <br /> TASK 5: CONSULTANT shall prepare up to two cost estimates (one for each design scheme as <br /> applicable) for all work associated with installation of new fiber optic nefinrork including, but not limited <br /> to: network down-time; coordination with City IT, Engineering, Development; relocation of city owned <br /> section of fiber optic conduit by Kaiser and USA Alert(as needed). Cost estimate in include the removat <br /> of existing multi-mode fiber in existing conduit once confirmation of switch over to single mode fiber is <br /> fully operational. Existing copper telecommunications line is to remain in existing conduit. <br /> TASK 6: CONSULTANT shall present to city staff survey findings, design options, and cost estimates <br /> for installation of new fiber optic network. <br /> TASK 7: Upon approval of design and cost estimate, CONSULTANT shall prepare plans and <br /> specifications suitable for bidding and construction purposes. Plans shall follow the best practices as <br /> provided to consultant by City and shall include but not be limited to the following: <br /> a. Title Sheet(City template to be used):The first sheet shall show the following: <br /> 1. Name of the Project and description <br /> 2. Sheet Index indicating content and page number. <br /> 3. Location map <br /> 4. Legend, abbreviations and General Notes <br /> b. Overall Communications Conduit Plan not smaller than 1° = 100' scale shall show the <br /> following but not limited to: City buildings(City Hall, Fire Station 9, Police Department Facility, <br /> City Municipal Services Center) pull stations, cristy boxes, vaults, streets, major streets, <br /> existing utilities, parking areas, bar scale indication and north arrow. <br /> c.
