Task 4.2 Project Open Houses <br /> Consultant shall work with the City to prepare for and facilitate a project open house <br /> (approximately three hours). The purposes of the open house shall be to provide a forum for <br /> presenting ideas, concepts, and recommendations for a new parking strategy for downtown. <br /> Consultant shall provide poster boards/open house stations (up to finro stations) and an open <br /> house meeting summary. <br /> Optional Task: Additional Outreach <br /> At City's direction, Consu/tant shall conduct an additional open house at the outset of the <br /> project(potentially in conjunction with the focus groups) to gain input and hear from members of <br /> the community about existing issues and concems with parking in Redwood City. <br /> Task 4.3 Fact Sheet <br /> Consultant shall create a fact sheet for the City's website to familiarize members of the public <br /> with parking in the City, the intentions of the new parking program, along with answers to main <br /> questions and concerns. The content for the fact sheet will be provided by the City and <br /> Consultant. <br /> Task 4.4 Parking Information and Communication Strategy <br /> Consultant shall develop a marketing approach for the City's parking program. The marketing <br /> approach shall center on a unified theme for the parking strategy to promote familiarity and ease <br /> of use with the anticipated changes and ensure the City effectively identifies and communicates <br /> parking information to its intended audience. The marketing strategy shall include: <br /> 1. Developing a Facebook page for the parking plan that can be continued by the City <br /> once elements of the plan are implemented. Consultant shall provide weekly updates <br /> during the course of the study. <br /> 2. Branding strategy for the parking program including up to three sample logos that can <br /> also be used in the parking plan documentation. The branding shall create a unified <br /> theme for the parking strategy and plan to promote familiarity and ease of use. <br /> 3. Example parking signs/information boards (on-street and in lots) that can be <br /> introduced as part of the branding and communication strategy. <br /> 4. Strategies for providing real-time parking information to users, such as a smartphone- <br /> based parking "app" or other form of communicating parking availability on a real-time <br /> basis. <br /> Optional Task:Additional Design <br /> At City's direction, Consultant shall provide detailed design, content development and <br /> placement for signs and information boards could be completed as part of an optional <br /> implementation task. <br /> Task 4.0 Deliverables <br /> • Focus Group Meetings(3) <br /> • Project Open House (1) <br /> � Project Factsheet(1) <br /> • Parking Information and Communication Strategy <br /> ATTY/AGR.2012.175/CDM SMITH INC. <br /> REV: 11-1-12 VR <br /> Page 15 of 19 <br />
