! <br /> <br /> DES:djk 08/31/87R <br /> <br />scope of services currently provided by Company unless <br />specifically provided herein; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, Agency and Company agree as follows: <br /> <br /> ARTICLE I. <br /> <br /> DEFINITIONS <br /> <br /> The following words and terms shall have the meanings <br />respectively ascribed thereto for purposes of this agreement. <br /> <br /> Section 1.1. "Agency" means the municipal corporation or <br />political subdivision (as the case may be) of the State of <br />California named a party to this agreement. <br /> <br /> Section 1.2. "Auditor" means the independent auditor <br />performing services for or on behalf of Agency as described in <br />Article VI hereof. <br /> <br /> Section 1.3. "Authority" means the public entity formed <br />pursuant to that certain agreement entered into in 1981 and <br />entitled, "Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement - South Bayside <br />Transfer Station" by and between the County of San Mateo, the <br />West Bay Sanitary District (formerly known as the Menlo Park <br />Sanitary District), and the cities of Atherton, Belmont, <br />Burlingame, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Hillsborough, Menlo <br />Park, Redwood City, San Carlos, and San Mateo, California. <br /> <br /> Section 1.4. "Billings" means any and all statements of <br /> charges for services rendered, howsoever made, described or <br /> designated by Company, or made by Agency or others for Company, <br /> to owners or occupants of property, including Residential <br /> Property and Commercial and Industrial Property, served by <br /> Company for the Collection of Solid Waste. <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
