1 emergencies. If additional or alternative type vehicles are required above <br />2 those included in Company's Proposal in order to meet the service standards <br />3 of this Agreement, Company shall provide such additional vehicles and shall <br />4 receive no additional compensation. <br />5 B. SPecifications. All vehicles used by Company in providing Green Waste <br />6 Collection services under this Agreement shall be registered with the <br />7 California Department of Motor Vehicles. All such vehicles shall have water- <br />8 tight bodies designed to prevent leakage, spillage, and overflow. <br />9 C. Vehicle Identification. Company's name, local telephone number, and a <br />10 unique vehicle identification number designed by Company for each vehicle <br />11 shall be prominently displayed on all vehicles, in letters and numbers no less <br />12 than two and one-half inches (2-1/2") high. Company shall not place <br />13 Agency's logo on its vehicles. <br />14 D. Cleaning and Maintenance <br />15 1) Company shall maintain all of its properties, facilities, and equipment <br />16 used in providing service under this Agreement in a safe, neat, clean, and <br />17 operable condition at all times. <br />18 2) Vehicles used in the Collection of Green Waste shall be painted, <br />19 thoroughly washed, and thoroughly steam cleaned on a regular basis so <br />20 as to present a clean appearance. Agency may inspect vehicles at any time <br />21 to determine compliance with this Agreement. Company shall also make <br />22 vehicles available to the San Mateo County Health Department for <br />23 inspection, at any frequency it requests. <br />24 3) Company shall inspect each vehicle daily to ensure that all equipment is <br />25 operating properly. Vehicles that are not operating properly shall be taken <br />26 out of service until they are repaired and operating properly. Company <br />27 shall perform all scheduled maintenance functions in accordance with the <br />28 manufacturer's specifications and schedules. Company shall keep <br />29 accurate records of all vehicle maintenance, recorded according to date <br />30 and mileage, and shall make such records available to Agency upon <br />31 request. <br />32 4) Company shall inspect and repair, or arrange for the repair of, all of its <br />33 vehicles and equipment for which repairs are needed because of accident, <br />34 breakdown, or any other cause so as to maintain all equipment in a safe <br />35 and operable condition. If an item of repair is covered by a warranty, <br />36 Company shall obtain warranty performance.
