1 by either party, reduced in coverage or in limits except after thirty (30) <br />2 days' prior written notice by certified mail, return receipt requested, has <br />3 been given to Agency. <br />4 E. Acceptability of Insurers. The insurance policies required by this Section <br />5 shall be issued by an insurance company or companies authorized to do <br />6 business in the State of California and with a rating in the most recent edition <br />7 of Best's Insurance Reports of size category VII or larger and a rating <br />8 classification of A or better. <br />9 F. Verification of Coverage. Company shall furnish Agency with certificates of <br />10 insurance and with original endorsements affecting coverage required by this <br />11 clause. The certificates and endorsements for each insurance policy are to be <br />12 signed by a person authorized by that insurer to bind coverage on its behalf. <br />13 The certificates and endorsements are to be on forms provided by or <br />14 acceptable to Agency and are to be received and approved by Agency before <br />15 work commences. Agency reserves the right to require complete, certified <br />16 copies of all required insurance policies, at any time. <br />17 G. Contractors and Subcontractors. Company shall include all contractors and <br />18 subcontractors as insureds under its policies or shall furnish separate <br />19 certificates and endorsements for each contractor and subcontractor. All <br />20 coverages for contractors and subcontractors shall be subject to all of the <br />21 requirements stated herein. <br />22 H. Required Endorsements. <br />23 1) The Workers' Compensation policy shall contain an endorsement in <br />24 substantially the following form: <br />25 a) "Thirty (30) days prior written notice shall be given to Agency in the <br />26 event of cancellation, reduction in coverage, or non-renewal of this <br />27 policy. Such notice shall be sent to: <br />28 City Manager <br />29 1020 Middlefield Road <br />30 P.O. Box 478 <br />31 Redwood City, CA 94064 <br />32 <br />33 2) The Public Liability policy shall contain endorsements in substantially the <br />34 following fo~m: <br />35 a) "Thirty (30) days prior written notice shall be given to Agency in the <br />36 event of cancellation, reduction in coverage, or non-renewal of this <br />37 policy.
