As you will
recall, Environmental Vision discovered an error in the size of that block used in the initial
plan for the parking structure and specialty foods market. Additional costs were incurred by
all of the subcontractors except Carey & Co. to take care of adjustments to the alternatives and
the analysis of those alternatives.

· Additions to the traffic scope of work. Following submittal of the ADEIR, the City
requested (1) analysis of three additional intersections and (2) expansion of the parking study
area. The City has verbally authorized these two work items (although no budget was speci-
fied for the parking study).

· Additional work required for the visual analysis. As we have discussed, after seeing the
visual simulations in the ADEIR, the project sponsor (via Field Paoli) requested the opportu-
nity to adjust some of the comers of the mixed-use building. We agreed to that adjustment.

Also, at a meeting in March of this year, the City requested that an additional viewpoint be
provided for the visual analysis. This adjustment was agreed upon, and additional budget
totaling $2,800 was authorized verbally, in response to a written request from Environmental
Vision dated March 15, 2000. It is noted in this letter only for completeness.

· Hazardous materials analysis. As you recall, the Cultural Resources evaluation identified
several past uses on both blocks that could have implications for the presence of hazardous
materials on the project site. With your verbal authorization, we have contacted Erler Kali-
nowski, Inc., of San Mateo to prepare a ddscussion of hazardous and toxic substances for the
DEIR. Their written proposal to us is appended to this letter.

ROberts Mundie, President Suzanne Lampert, Vice President
rober ta.mundie@mundie.com suzanne.lampert@mundie.corn
