Sale of bonds pursuant to the Mello-Roos Community Facilities Act of <br /> 1982, as amended (Act), to refund the outstanding City of Redwood <br /> City Community Facilities District No. 99-1 (Redwood Shores <br /> Transportation Project) Special Tax Bonds, Series 2001A and Series <br /> 2003B (collectively, Prior Bonds) (Council is acting as the legislative <br /> body of the Community Facilities District) <br /> Recommendation: <br /> 1) Approve, by resolution, authorization for the issuance and sale of Special <br /> Tax Refunding Bonds for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City <br /> Community Facilities District No. 99-1 (Redwood Shores Transportation <br /> Project) and approval of all documents and agreements, including the <br /> Preliminary Official Statement, necessary to issue such bonds. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15237 AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL TAX <br /> BONDS FOR AND ON BEHALF OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 99-1 <br /> (SHORES TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT) OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, APPROVING THE FORM OF AND DIRECTING THE <br /> EXECUTION OF A FISCAL AGENT AGREEMENT, ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS, A <br /> CONTINUING DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT AND A BOND PURCHASE <br /> AGREEMENT, APPROVING THE FORM OF AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT, <br /> APPROVING SALE OF BONDS, AND APPROVING OTHER RELATED <br /> DOCUMENTS AND ACTIONS <br /> 2) Adopt, by resolution, approval of the escrow instructions and other related <br /> documents and actions by the Mello-Roos special tax district. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15238 OF THE COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 99-1 <br /> (SHORES TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT) OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE FORM OF AND DIRECTING THE <br /> EXECUTION OF ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS, AND APPROVING OTHER RELATED <br /> DOCUMENTS AND ACTIONS <br /> Mr. Ponty, Finance Director, presented the report and provided historical information on <br /> these bonds. He outlined the actions before Council. He noted that since the publication <br /> of the staff report, he was advised to accelerate the selling of the bonds to before the <br /> Holidays for better financial impacts. <br /> M/S Bain/Pierce to adopt the first resolution. Motion carried by unanimous <br /> electronic vote. <br /> M/Seybert/Bain to adopt the second resolution. Motion carried by unanimous <br /> electronic vote. <br /> C.
