7.B. - Page 124 Chapter 6 Cumulative Impacts This chapter describes the cumulative impacts associated with the proposed modifications to the project evaluated in the 2007 FEIR.As described in the 2007 FEIR(page 6-1),cumulative impacts are evaluated on a regional and local basis.According to Section 15130(b)(1)3 of the CEQA Guidelines,the lead agency must"define the geographic scope of the area affected by the cumulative effects and provide a reasonable explanation for the geographic limitation used."For the purpose of this cumulative impact analysis,the project with the proposed modifications were evaluated along with several proposed or ongoing development projects within Redwood City that cumulatively could have a significant effect on the environment,including the projects evaluated in the 2007 FEIR.The projects evaluated in the 2007 FEIR(page 6-1) include: • Abbott Labs. • Kaiser Hospital Campus. • West Point Marina. • Pacific Materials Batch Plan. • Downtown Cinema. Additional projects that are included in this cumulative analysis are: • 2808 El Camino Real (assisted care facility). • 450 Broadway(Stanford Medical Clinic). • 550 Broadway(Stanford University: University,office,clinic, R&D). • 2580 El Camino Real (residential). • Downtown Precise Plan. • 640 Veterans Boulevard (residential). • 104 Cedar Street(residential). • 333 Main Street(residential). • 134 Maple Street(nursing facility). • One Marina (residential). Environmental documents prepared for the projects are on file with the City of Redwood City and can be reviewed at the City of Redwood City Community Development Department at 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City,California 94063. All of the additional projects listed above are within approximately 1.3 miles of the project site and are either planned,approved,or under construction.These projects include residential,medical,and office uses.As described in the 2007 FEIR(page 6-1),and based on the nature of the additional projects included in this analysis,the proposed modifications could result in potential cumulative impacts on traffic,air quality,noise,greenhouse gas emissions,hydrology and drainage,public services,and utilities.All of the direct impacts of the original project and the proposed modifications Addendum No.2 to the Environmental Impact Report for September 2012 the Redwood City Costco Wholesale Project 6-1 ICF 00154.12
