Fire Department access roads shall be required when any portion <br /> of the facifity or any portion of an exterior wall of the first story Qf the building is <br /> lacated more than 150 feet from fire apparat�s access (IFC 503.1.�). Therefore, <br /> the AC pa�ing shall be designated as a fire apparatus access road designed and <br /> maintained to suppo�t fhe imposed loads of the fire apparatus (American <br /> Association of State Highway Transparfatian Officials Standard H20}. <br /> 28. Af least ane �re hydrant s�all be located on �he same side of the <br /> street and within 5� feet of the fire department connection (Redwood City <br /> Engineering Standard). <br /> 29. All �al�es controll�ng the water supply for automatic �ire sprinkler <br /> systems, pumps, and water flow switches on all fire sprinkler systems shall be <br /> electronically supervised (IFC 903.4). <br /> 3�. One exterior a�pro�ed audible device shall be connected ta every <br /> fire sprinkler sysf�m in an approv�d locatian (lFC 903.4.2). <br /> 31. Where connected to a supervising sfation, fire alarm sys#ems <br /> employing automatic fire detectors or waterflow detection de�ices shall include a <br /> manuaE fire alarm bax to initiate a signal ta the supervising sta�ian (NFPA 72 — <br /> 2010 Edition, Section 23.8.5.1.1}. <br /> 32. Fire alarm signals shall be �ransmitfied to fhe central statian and <br /> retransmitted by zone to the public safety communications center (�rdinance <br /> 236'!). <br /> 33. All fire alarm systems shall be cEr#ifica#ed by the Underwriters <br /> �aboratoTies {Ordir�ance 2361). <br /> 34. Fire apparatus access roads shafl have an unobstructed vertical <br /> clearance of not less than 13 feet 6 inches {�FC 503.2.�). Therefore, the cartopy <br /> si�all ha�e an unobstructed �ertical ciearance of not less than 13 feet 6 inches. <br /> 35. Applicant shall replace the ADA ramp located at the nor�heasf <br /> corner af Charter Street and Middlefield Road, in frant of #he Mexican food <br /> restaurant. This ramp was originally installecE as part of the warehouse <br /> construction project and has failed. <br /> 36. Applicant shall comply with all City, State and Federal regulations, <br /> applicable to the Project. <br /> 37.
