C. Qualitv Assurance <br /> 1. Contractor shall be a licensed California contractor with a C-16 license <br /> experienced in the installation of automatic sprinkler systems. <br /> 2. Contractor shall have been in business of designing, installing, testing or <br /> maintaining automatic sprinkler systems for at least the past five (5) years. <br /> 3. All drawings shall be stamped and signed by a fire protection engineer or <br /> licensed engineer or architect licensed to provide a design. <br /> I. HOURS OF WORK <br /> A. Working hours shall be from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday or as <br /> otherwise approved by the City. <br /> II. PLANS AND/OR SPECIFICATIONS <br /> A. Those specification submittals entitled Fire Station No. 10, Fire Sprinkler <br /> Upgrades are hereby made a part of this contract. <br /> B. The City's Standard Specifications and Details. <br /> C. California Building Code—2010 shall be made a part of this Contract <br /> D. California Electrical Code—2010 shall be made a part of this Contract <br /> E. Latest National Fire Protection Code <br /> F. Latest Mechanical Building Code <br /> III. TIME OF COMPLETION, INSURANCE & BONDS <br /> A. Time of completion shall be forty five (45) calendar days from the Notice to <br /> Proceed. <br /> B. See Section 8 of"Agreement" for insurance requirements. <br /> C. Payment and performance bonds shall be required for this project (see Standard <br /> Bond Attachments). Other bond forms may be used, subject to approval prior to the <br /> start of work. <br /> IV. DAMAGES FOR DELAYS <br /> A. Liquidated damages, for the period of time that any portion of the work remains <br /> unfinished after the time fixed for completion in the Contract Documents, as <br /> modified by extensions of time granted by the Owner, it is understood as agreed by <br /> the Contractor and the Owner that the contractor shall pay the Owner Five Hundred <br /> and 00/100 Dollars ($500.00) per day liquidated damages. <br /> V.
