Mr. Ernest, Waite, owner of property, stated he agreed <br />with recommendations stated by City Manager. <br />Mr. McWilliams, architect, :Mated project represented <br />investment of come $500,000 and described proposed <br />plans of the restaurant ir Purt'ner detail. <br />Councilman Granger moved to modify action of the Planning Commission and accept recom- <br />mendation of City Manager for grantinC of variance, subject to conditions as outlined, <br />seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried (MINUTE ORDER ;`,'RM) <br />Councilman Herkner moved to .introduce Ordinance establishing salaries for employees of the <br />City of Redwood City; adding- Anticl e V, commencing at Section 2R.70, to the Redwood <br />City Code concerning- the administration of the Pay Plan • and repealing Ordinance <br />w o , v47. <br />Magor Rosselli announced ordinance introduced was to :incorporate the action taken by <br />Council at the meeting of .1/10/66 in adjusting employee salaries, and action taken at <br />their Executive Session for increase„ to Council appointees as follows: <br />Auditor -Accountant, - 1 Step increase <br />City Clerk -Treasurer -Collector - 1'1 steps increase <br />City Attorney - 0)100 per month increase <br />It was explained for the .record that the City Manager's salary had been set upon his <br />appointment only a month a -;o. <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Grander and carried. <br />City Manager requested resolution authorizing condemnation proceedings for Industrial Way <br />Improvements be continued as revisions of property descriptions were to be made. <br />Councilman Royer moved to continue item to February 7th, 1966, seconded by Councilman <br />Petersen and carred (MINUTE ORDER „`66-0) <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 489S AUTHORTZTNG SUBMISSION OF BUDGET PRO- <br />POSE K TO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC i;ORKS, FOR FUNDS ALLOCATED UNDER SECTION 2107.5 OF TH_ <br />STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE. <br />Staff reported amount of budmet same as for 1965-66 in the amount of 07,500. Motion <br />seconded by Councilman Royer and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 4894 AUTHORTZING ACCEPTANCE OF DRAINAGE <br />EASEMENT IN EXCHANGE FOR CERTAIN OTHER REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT IN CONNECTION THEREWITH. Cif,TYManaCer .stated <br />this was related to Bay Road Storm Drains and necessary .in order that City may construct <br />a drainage channel of constant width as it is over an existing easement which is much <br />too narrow.
