He stated Staff recommendation remains unchanged: <br />(1) The area not be annexed until Laurel Way can be improved and <br />utilities installed; <br />(2) That Mr. Schwab obtain signatures of a sufficient number of property <br />owners abutting Laurel Way within the corporate limits of Redwood <br />City, including the Schwab parcels, to justify preparation of a <br />formal petition for the formation of an assessment district; <br />(3) That Mr. Schwab resubdivide the existing four lots, under County <br />subdivision procedures, into two building sites prior to annexation. <br />Councilman Royer questioned recommendation that applicant be requested to circulate <br />petition for formation of assessment district and that the 4 lots be re -subdivided <br />into 2 lots. City Manager described more fully the problems -involved for providing <br />utilities in this particular area because of the terrain. Councilman Royer further <br />questioned density proposed and felt Planning Commission should study this phase and <br />report to Council. <br />AL'ter further discussion concerning this annexation, Councilman Granter moved to <br />refer proposal back to Planning; Commission for study and recommendation, and Mr. <br />Schwab be notified of action taken and asked to be present at next discussion by <br />Council, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried (MINUTE ORDER ,166-24) <br />Request to authorize City Clerk to accept Deeds for Easements in vicinity of Dodge Drive. <br />Staff report stated granting of a 5' easement along; the Southerly property Line of <br />Lot 7, Block 3, Friendly Acres Subdivision -"1, was a condition of a 1_ot split granted <br />by the Subdivision Committee, and inasmuch as additional easements must be granted to <br />City before completion of development, City Clerk requests permission to accept these <br />grants of easements when they are required by Planning action in this vicinity. <br />Councilman Royer requested record show these parcels are not those in which he has <br />a personal interest. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to authorize City Clerk to accept deeds when they are required <br />by Planning action in vicinity of Dodge Drive, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried <br />(MINUTE ORDER "66-25) <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.39 ADDING SECTION 60.4.1 TO ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE "PIOP4.BO <br />ANNEXATION" seconded by Councilman Rayer and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. :1130.40 ADDING SECTION 60.2.14 TO ORDINANCE <br />NO. 11.30, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS 1612 <br />GORDON STREET, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Weymouth, Chairman of Council Insurance Com~nittee, reviewed report on Employees' <br />Health Insurance since restudy requested to find a plan, that is acceptable to City <br />Employees and that will allow retired employees to continue the group plan after retire- <br />ment. He stated CPS had now made a proposal similar to that offered by Blue Cross <br />which has been reviewed with employees and present consensus of opinion from Employees' <br />group had been that City remain with CPS. <br />He ,stated Committee also recommends that City continue health insurance with CPS <br />under present policy with the rates and fee schedules as will be amended February 15, <br />1966, and advised no budget adjustment will be necessary as savin;s made on other <br />
