<br />Pledge of Allegiance led by Girl Scouts, Brenda DuBerry, Sheri Garibaldi, Nancy Hanson,
<br />Candy Mercer, Julie Lundhagen, Cathy O'Connell, Lori Reinhardt, Kathy Reinhardt, and
<br />Susan Butwe 1.2 , of Troop No. 2614.
<br />Invocation led by Reverend J. Wendell Clutz, Associate Pastor of messiah Lutheran Church.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Sidney D. Herkner, Herbert G.
<br />Petersen, William H. Royer, Ray A. Weymouth, Mayor John S. Rosselli, and City Clark
<br />Helen C. Moore. Councilmen Robert H. Bury (entered the meeting at 8:i0 P. M.) and
<br />Floyd D. Granger were noted absent. Also noted present were City Manager Howard C.
<br />Ullrich, City Attorney Richard E. Gard:ella, Deputy Police Chief Theodore Moudakas,
<br />City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Planning Director Ken Schroeter, Senior Planner Speer
<br />McClellan, Zoning Coordinator William Shackelford, Auditor -Accountant Jack Ference,
<br />Recreation Director A. S. Morton, and Deputy City Clerk Marian McCrindle.
<br />Councilman Herkner moved to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 28,
<br />1966, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried.
<br />Mayor Posse.11i introduced newly appointed Planning Director, Warkentin (Ken) Schroeter.
<br />Inasmuch as only five members of the Council were present, and it was desired to bold the
<br />public hearing on Resolution of intention to Modify and Amend Resolution Q. 609,
<br />Altamont -Midfield -Utah Way and Vicinity improvements, before the full Council, on
<br />motion of Councilman Petersen, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried, subject
<br />hearing was continued to March 14th, 1986, at 8:00 p.m. (MINUTE ORDER #66-50
<br />PUBLIC HEARTNG, on Resolution of intention of the Planning Commission to amend Sections
<br />17.2 and 17.4 of Ordinance No. 1130, relating to automobile service stations, declared
<br />open and affidavit of publication ordered filed. Report of the Planning Commission
<br />and Staff Analysis was read in which it was stated proposed amendment would change
<br />the automobile service station from a permitted use to a conditional use, as potential.
<br />adverse impact was noted of not having service stations as a conditional use in IIS
<br />Districts. It was particularly explained large areas of IR zoning which would be
<br />available in Redwood Shores, besides the large areas of TR zoning in the City, would
<br />allow such stations with no conditions or architectural controls. There beim; no
<br />written communications or oral protest, Councilman Petersen moved to close the public
<br />nearing, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried.
<br />Councilman Herkner moved to introduce Ordinance amending Sections 17.2 and 17.4 of
<br />Ordinance No. 2150, the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, relating to automobile service
<br />stations, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried.
<br />PUFLTC HEARING on Resolution of intention of the Planning Commission to amend the Zoning
<br />Ordinance No. 1130, by amending Section 45.3(b)(1) relating to architectural super-
<br />vision in connection with sin7le and two-family dwellings, declared open and affidavit
<br />of publication ordered filed. Report of the Planning Commission and Staff Analysis
<br />read.
