The following is a list of activities to be held at the Library during February: <br /> February 11 - Storytelling by the Firemen - Fair Oaks Library-4pm <br /> February 14 - Childrens' Program-Magic Mike Magician-7pm <br /> February 22 - The Road to Oklahoma!: Development of an American <br /> Voice-second program in the series-7:30pm <br /> February 23 - Senior Health Lecture-"Exercise: You Can Do It Too <br /> 10:30am <br /> February 26-27 - Archives' Committee Open House-"Automobiles <br /> in Redwood City"-Community Room - 1-4pm <br /> ITEM 6- SUMMER CONCERT PROGRAM <br /> Supervisor Hannon gave the Commissioners a list of possible groups and <br /> their cost to perform for our Summer Concert Program. The Commissioners <br /> reviewed the list and made suggestions. Commissioner Filippi suggested the <br /> John Capobiano Orchestra (big band) and the Operators (blues band). He said <br /> he would like the Commission to offer 8 or 10 concerts this year. <br /> Commissioner Distefano suggested one concert be held downtown during <br /> lunch time or in conjunction with the Farmer's Market on a Saturday. <br /> The Commissioners discussed discontinuing having a concert in Redwood <br /> Shores and the minimal turnout at Marlin Park each year. Commissioner <br /> Piulle said she would like to offer another concert at Hoover Park but perhaps <br /> with a mariachi band. Supervisor Hannon took the Commissioners' <br /> recommendations and will begin contacting the groups to develop the <br /> schedule of the concert dates. <br /> Commissioner Filippi said he would like to offer a food drive at this year's <br /> concerts and will contact Bonnie Miller of the Fair Oaks Community Center <br /> Advisory Board. <br /> ITEM 8-POLICE DEPARTMENT ART <br /> Commissioner Fischer reported that Captain Granucci had advised her that <br /> checks have been issued to the three finalists and they will present the <br /> models of their proposed art work to the committee in March. <br /> ITEM 10-TRAINING IDEAS FOR MEMBERS OF BOARDS AND <br /> CONIlVIISSIONS <br /> Supervisor Hannon reported that the staff liaisons for the City's many boards <br /> and commissions met with the Assistant City Manager to di.scuss ideas for <br /> having a training workshop for them. They spoke about the format for the <br /> meeting and the issues to be covered. It was suggested that all members of the <br /> boards and commissions could meet annually on a Saturday with the City <br />
