ITEM 8-JOINT STUDY SESSION WITH THE PARK&RECREATION <br /> CONIMISSION <br /> Chairperson Filippi said he sent a letter as a private citizen to Park and <br /> Recreation Commission Chairperson Susan Swope about a joint meeting <br /> between the Civic Cultural and the Park and Recreation Commissions. <br /> Because the Park and Recreation Commission did not have a meeting in <br /> June, it will be discussed at their July meeting. <br /> M/S Redington/Fischer: To set up a future meeting with the Park and <br /> Recreation Commission. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> ITEM 9 -PUBLIC RELATIONS ARTICLES/ADVERTISING/HANDOUTS <br /> Chairperson Filippi said he was contacted by Ellen Bonsall regarding <br /> maintaining coverage of the Cultural Commission in the quarterly <br /> "Redwood City Update". Her FAX is 349-1060 if anyone has information for <br /> the newsletter and August 5 will be the deadline for the next edition. It was <br /> suggested that the Commissioners submit all articles to Commissioner <br /> Distefano and she will submit to Ellen Bonsall. <br /> ITEM 10-END OF YEAR REPORT TO COUNCIL <br /> Chairperson Filippi recommended that the Civic Cultural Commission <br /> submit an end of the year report to the City Council as stated in the City's <br /> Ordinance Code. <br /> M/S Redington/Ball: To have the Chairperson of the Civic Cultural <br /> Commission submit an end of the year report <br /> to the City Council. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> Commissioner Moran suggested reviewing the Commission's monthly <br /> agendas to develop an end of the year report. <br /> ITEM 11-COMMISSION BADGES <br /> Commissioner Piulle explained that the funds allocated for badges were in <br /> the Fiscal Year 93-94 budget which ended June 30, 1994 and the funds needed <br /> to be spent by that date. As a result, the funds are no longer available and <br /> monies for badges will have to be spent from the new Fiscal Year 9495 <br /> budget. Commissioner Piulle went to Alpine Awards to obtain bids for the <br /> badges. Since Alpine Awards has the City's logo on file, it will enable the <br /> Commission to save money on the set-up fee for the badges. The badges <br /> would have the City's logo silk-screened on them along with the name and <br />
