Y <br /> M/S Distefano/Filippi: To extend the meeting to 10:OOpm. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> ITEM 12-PERCENT FOR PUBLIC ART <br /> Commissioner Saye reviewed a draft of the Percent for Public Art policy with <br /> the Commissioners and they made several suggestions to the document. <br /> Commissioners Saye and Ball agreed to work on draft and incorporate the <br /> suggestions that had been made this evening. <br /> M/S Piulle/Filippi: To extend the meeting until 10:15pm. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> ITEM 13-FOCUS '95 <br /> Commissioner Piulle inquired about the person responsible for the mailing <br /> of the City's water bills. Commissioner Filippi asked that "Protocol" be listed <br /> on the December agenda. <br /> ITEM 14- EVALUATION OR DISCUSSION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD <br /> DURING THE PAST 30 DAYS . <br /> -Commissioner Distefano spoke about the wonderful fundraising event <br /> which was held at the Police Station and sponsored by the Park and <br /> Recreation Commission on October 26. Over $14,000.00 was raised at the <br /> event. <br /> -Commissioner Ball reported on the Heritage Association dinner honoring <br /> Jeff Filippi held on October 15. She mentioned the Holiday Craft Fair to be <br /> held at the Community Activities Building on November 3-4. She spoke <br /> about her displeasure with the dinner for the Chinese delegation held at <br /> Canada College on October 27. She felt the dinner should have been paid for <br /> by the City and not individuals who had to bring the food from home. She <br /> said the performance was very good but there was no acknowledgment made <br /> to recognize the contribution of the Cultural Commission. <br /> -Commissioner Fischer mentioned the Heritage Association's nice dinner <br /> honoring Commissioner Jeff Filippi. <br /> -Commissioner Saye also spoke about the dinner for the Chinese delegation <br /> and their performance at Canada College. He mentioned he could not see any <br /> correlation between the funds the Commission granted to Redwood City <br /> International and the props and other materials used by the performers. <br /> He also mentioned the wonderful art work on display outside of the Canada <br /> College auditorium. <br />
