-Commissioner Distefano noted that the Veterans Memorial Senior Center just completed a very successful Women's History Month. The series of events was well attended by the seniors. -Commissioner Filippi met a representative from KCSM and stated she would like to come to a meeting to make a presentation. Supervisor Hannon will follow up on this matter. M/S Filippi/Distefano: To have our Chairperson represent the Commission and go to City Council to ask the City to put together a committee with representatives from the Park and Recreation Commission, Cultural Commission, Architectural Review Board, Historic Resources Advisory Committee, and Traffic Advisory Committee to be involved in the inception stages of all building projects. Commissioner Fischer suggested setting up a checklist or review procedures to ensure that the Cultural Commission will be involved at the beginning of a project. Commissioner Piulle said she wanted the entire Cultural Commission included in the project review process from the beginning. Commissioner Fischer felt staff should come to the Cultural Commission and make a presentation at the inception of a project. Motion failed. (Yes-0, No-7) M/S Filippi/Moran: That the Cultural Commission as a unit be involved in all building projects at the inception of the project. Motion passed. ITEM 9-SUDGET Supervisor Hannon passed out the updated FY94-95 Budget, proposed FY95- 96 budget and FY95-96 Objectives for the Commission. With a remaining balance of only .80 cents, the Commission will be unable to help with funding for the Avenue of the Arts project. Budget hearings for the FY95-96 Budgetwill be held Monday,july 10, Saturday,July 15, and Monday,july 24 and the Commissioners were advised when they would have an opportunity to present their position to the City Council in the event the budget is altered during the process. ITEM 10- EVALUATION OR DISCUSSION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD DURING THE PAST 30 DAYS -Commissioner Filippi announced Thursday night musical performances of the Blue Moon Orchestra in Millbrae and also spoke about various musical performances held in San Mateo.
