-Commissioner Distefano noted that the Veterans Memorial Senior Center <br /> just completed a very successful Women's History Month. The series of <br /> events was well attended by the seniors. <br /> -Commissioner Filippi met a representative from KCSM and stated she <br /> would like to come to a meeting to make a presentation. Supervisor Hannon <br /> will follow up on this matter. <br /> M/S Filippi/Distefano: To have our Chairperson represent the Commission <br /> and go to City Council to ask the City to put together a committee with <br /> representatives from the Park and Recreation Commission, Cultural <br /> Commission, Architectural Review Board, Historic Resources <br /> Advisory Committee, and Traffic Advisory Committee to be involved <br /> in the inception stages of all building projects. <br /> Commissioner Fischer suggested setting up a checklist or review procedures <br /> to ensure that the Cultural Commission will be involved at the beginning of <br /> a project. Commissioner Piulle said she wanted the entire Cultural <br /> Commission included in the project review process from the beginning. <br /> Commissioner Fischer felt staff should come to the Cultural Commission and <br /> make a presentation at the inception of a project. <br /> Motion failed. (Yes-0, No-7) <br /> M/S Filippi/Moran: That the Cultural Commission as a unit be involved in <br /> all building projects at the inception of the project. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> ITEM 9-SUDGET <br /> Supervisor Hannon passed out the updated FY94-95 Budget, proposed FY95- <br /> 96 budget and FY95-96 Objectives for the Commission. With a remaining <br /> balance of only .80 cents, the Commission will be unable to help with funding <br /> for the Avenue of the Arts project. Budget hearings for the FY95-96 <br /> Budgetwill be held Monday,july 10, Saturday,July 15, and Monday,july 24 <br /> and the Commissioners were advised when they would have an opportunity <br /> to present their position to the City Council in the event the budget is altered <br /> during the process. <br /> ITEM 10- EVALUATION OR DISCUSSION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD <br /> DURING THE PAST 30 DAYS <br /> -Commissioner Filippi announced Thursday night musical performances of <br /> the Blue Moon Orchestra in Millbrae and also spoke about various musical <br /> performances held in San Mateo. <br />
